I gotta say, there's something special about being a rarepair fic writer. It's like running an allergen free bakery. Sure, there's less fame in it, the majority of people won't shop at your store because the type of baked goods they like can be found anywhere. But for people with allergies, you're providing a special service that means a lot to them because it's hard to come by. It's really easy to build a loyal reader base because you're not lost in a sea of 50k+ fics.

i love law so much bc unlike most other sword users in op who are like ‘yes i must hone my skills and my blade to the best of my ability’ he really isn’t even bothered about being like a great swordsman or anything bc his devil fruit is just that useful. man just opens up a room and slashes around a bit and then he’s sliced a mountain in half. tashigi at punk hazard basically calls him a disgrace to swordsmanship and he’s just like “🤷‍♂️ lol if it makes you feel better I’ll cut you again” he really gives zero fucks

*me over the past few days trying to write this damned chapter, which I'd thought would be done by now*

So, in other words, it's going to be at least another few days before you get chapter 17 of "Welcome to the Heart Pirates, Nami-ya." I'm seriously so sorry for the continuous delays. The words aren't coming out right, the plan's getting out of hand, and even Law and Nami's banter isn't coming out the way I want.

I know pretty much all of you are cool with me taking extra time with a chapter - I'm mostly writing this to keep you all in the loop, since I'd expected to be done by now. And I HATE keeping you all waiting so long between chapters. But please bear with me. I'm trying to make it worthwhile.

There comes a time when fandom becomes less of an escape from anxiety to being the source of anxiety. Sometimes I need to remind myself what’s important to focus on, and I made this chart to help me with that. 

(Posting this at the request of a few people. The design/concept was inspired by an instagram post about covid-19 located here).

Letting out a huff, she shoved his shoulder in reproach. She knew he thought himself as maybe a step below Doflamingo in terms of morality, and she was determined to make him see he was better than that. “Look, I know we’re not the traditional definition of ‘good’. We are pirates after all. But you’re not evil. Not like a certain pink feathered bastard. You’ve got limits and morals and you care about the people you care about. So, I’d say you’re chaotic-lawful; you’ve got a strict moral code, but no one can figure out what the fuck it is,” she teased.

“But what I mean is, yeah, you’re broken and kind of fucked-up, but you’re not a monster. Not like him. You’re not a good man, but you’re not evil. We’ve seen evil. Guys like Blackbeard and Kaido and Akainu. Compared to those bastards, you’re a saint. So, quit selling yourself short, alright? We’ll never be heroes, but I think we’re doing ok where we are on the alignment chart.”
