I've got a halloween prompt for ya~
Witch Blake lives alone in a forest, one day comes across an injured Werewolf Ruby and takes her to her house to help heal her~
Blake paused behind a tree as she gazed upon a large, sleeping wolf in the middle of the forest. While it was unusual for wolves to be found in her forests, it was more unusual to find a wolf sleeping in broad daylight. She stepped closer to the wolf, only to pause as she heard a loud meow from behind her. “Quiet, you’ll wake it up.”
A white cat moved over to Blake and slowly started to twist its form to a more human shape as white, wispy smoke circled around her. “And how do you know that this… thing wont kill you?”
“You didnt try to kill me when I helped you.” Blake slowly moved closer to the wolf and frowned as she saw the glint of a silver arrowhead stuck in its hind legs. “Besides, someone tried to hunt this poor beast.”
“Because *that* is a wolf!” The familiar whispered angrily as she kept close to her master. “”And we both know that my situation was different.”
“Because you were dying?”
“Because I didnt know what kind of curse you were going to put me under.”
“FIrst, I saved you, not cursed you.” Blake made her way to the sleeping wolf and carefully made her way to the hind leg. “And second, you dont have to stay with me just because you’re my familiar. You’re allowed to roam around and have a life of your own.”
“And what kind of life am I supposed to have as a cat?!” The familiar folded her arms across her chest and let out a heavy sigh. “Besides, the moment I let my guard down, someone’s going to see me as a stray.”
Blake shook her head and gently started to pull the arrow out by the tip to keep the wound from getting any larger. Once the arrow was through, she quickly pulled out a few herbs to wrap around the wound to let it close. Once she finished, she felt the warm breath of the wolf breathing down her neck.
“Blake! Get away from it!” The familiar yelled.
“I-I’ll be fine Weiss… I dont… think it wants to hurt me.” Blake slowly put a hand out to the wolf and looked deep into its silver eyes. “I think…”
Weiss transformed back into a cat and rushed between Blake and the wolf, hissing to try to protect her witch. The wolf let out a sigh and shifted as the full moon phase ended, leaving a girl wrapped up in a red cloak.
Blake caught the girl before she fell to the ground and kept her propped up. “We’ll need to make sure she’s okay-”
“No, absolutely not,” Weiss said as she shifted back to her human form. “We cant just take in a monster.”
“And she was hurt.” Blake stood up and started to carry the cloaked girl back to her hut. “And its my duty to make sure she gets treatment.”
Weiss sighed and followed Blake, making sure to grab a few healing herbs along the way. “Fine, but if she tries to eat me, I’m going to scratch her.”
