--Summary--

Lila, a 16-year-old witch, works at a magic shop in a rural town.

There, she gives tarot readings and sells magic charms. Most people

consider it a novelty and only come in for laughs or a cheap thrill,

which embarrasses her. When [generic catastrophe] looms over the 

town she uses her magic to save them and expects to finally be 

recognized as a real witch. However, no one believes that it was her

magic that saved them, and this makes her extremely upset that 

everyone *still* doubts her. She begins to lose faith in her magic 

too and her mother (the owner of the magic shop, but not a witch 

herself) recommends that she take time away from the town to visit

areas that are havens for magical beings and learn more about herself.

At the end of her journey she returns to the town after gaining a sense

of self worth. There's still no one that believes in her powers but she 

has accepted it completely. She continues to protect the town from natural

or magical disasters even though she gets no recognition.
