Before watching it I thought the anime was about an atelier where they make Witch hats to the point when Coco was showed to have skill with cutting fabric i thought ''Oh that's why she's getting into the witch hat atelier''

I drew a really pretty (in my opinion uwu) Witch Hat Atelier drawing but my file is too CHONKY for tumblr (it's 20.8 MB while tumblr only wants 20MB) I'm unsure how to make it a smaller file without losing anything so if you have a bsky account, maybe give it a little looksie heh... 👉👈😳

I feel like the anime has this very specific treatment of''you're way too happy about this'' when it comes to Coco and Magic.

It's like she's your typical anime protagonist and everyone else is tired of their life lmao, so when she's like ''omg magic it's soooo nice'' i'm half expecting the other person to tell her to shut up

There's also something about a girl being dismissed for being ''too happy'' about something.

I really like how the anime shows both sides of the early Agott and Coco tension. Agott has a reason to be upset about a random girl being accepted into something the others had to fight for, but it's still mean-spirited to try to get Coco out of the atelier.

And Coco isn't at fault for being accepted, liking magic, and not knowing about it, but it was by doing dumb shit without thinking that she got her mother frozen lol. (Something that she is paying for, so it's not like the narrative brushes over her mistakes).

Real nice character writing that makes me side with one or another depending on the situation.
