Hello Friends!
I have a friend who is trying to learn about runes and how to use them (which I know nothing of) and was wondering if anyone had any literature/source information for them?

⛧ Witch Youtubers
Some witchy youtubers that have been documenting their practice for years, good for older witches
❉ House of Witchcraft
- High Priestess Taren offering you tips, recipes, insights and after hours secrets. She also has a coven with other guests that are featured on her channel.
❉ Siofra's Magic Alcove
- Good ol' Siofra, a cozy channel to find the down home magic you are looking for, by a witch whom has been practicing since the mid 1960's and wants to share some of what she has learned. Some of her content is Fae focused as well.
❉ Lee W Johnson
- His content revolves around the topics of manifestation techniques and Magick. If you're more focused on demonolatry and just the overall shadow aspects of magick I recommend his channel. Pretty sure he also has a podcast.
Witches,
Can anyone tell me a reliable source to research crystals and its correspondences, please? I’ve googled it but seen some contradictory information about the same stone and don’t want to be misinformed or misuse my gems.
Just reply to this post or come to my ask box (anonymously or not).
Thank you!
— Venus.
i’m new to witchcraft, and was wondering if you could tell me where to start/explain the basics? thx 💜
Hello @sprinkle-of-phan919 ! So this may disappointing/exciting to hear, but I am a newish witch too. I am not super new because I have been into this kind of stuff all my life, but never practicing the craft, so thats why I am a cryptid witchling-witch lol.
So I do have some links that I believe may help you get started. (I am bad at the technology and I have bad luck so I hope these links work and I don’t get hacked. Please inform me if they do not work) ;)

The reason why I am not explaining things myself is because I do not feel knowledgable enough to inform you of everything witchy. And I am sorry about that :(
But I do have tips for new witches!
* Good news! I learned everything I know online! I suggest Tumblr, youtube, and discord as ways to find things out easily and with other people! (Of course do not take things as facts and law just because someone else said it.) Find your own way!
* Experiment! I know many people say research until your eyes bleed, and that may work for some people. But the problem there is intimidation. If you research many many many things you will realize every person has a different way of doing things. That can scare new witches because what if you mess up? What if you do it wrong? What if What if What if. I researched a ton, and was scared to even make sigils. Soon I realized I needed to put myself out there and try new things. So eventually you need to try stuff! If it fails, so what? Try again. There is no harm in mistakes as long as you are safe.
* BE SAFE! When I say do not over-research I do not mean jump in blindly. Do research to make sure what you are doing is safe. But do not get in the way of your own success by trying nothing, and only researching things. Safety is key. Some teas are dangerous. Some rocks are dangerous, essential oils can be dangerous. Treat things like you are researching a pill you might want to try, you wouldn’t take risks that could kill you. Do not put your life at risk for witchy-aesthetics. Be smart; stay safe.
*Figure out what you like! Don’t categorize yourself early because that puts you in a box with rules. You do not need that. Try things, have fun, and figure out what you are drawn to. I am drawn to the moon and divination!
* DO NOT GO OUT AND BUY EVERYTHING. You can practice the craft with things you already have! Pendulum? Necklace will work. Runes? Pennies will work. No candles? Candle videos on youtube. Witches make do. And these DIY witchy things make your craft more personal and sometimes even better than bought items! :)
* I highly suggest reading books on witchcraft. But Elsewherewitch I do not have money to buy those expensive books! Don’t fret fellow witch! Many online sources have links to FREE ONLINE WITCHY BOOKS! I have PDFs of many witchy books just from joining one witch discord. But again, take the authors opinions with a grain of salt! There is no right way to be a witch! There are as many ways as there are witches!
There are tons of other tips but this is what I could come up with right now. I suggest on Tumblr looking up witching, baby witch, new witch tips, easy witch spells, easy spells, and other things along those lines.
Anybody else who has more tips and links you are welcome to join this post and help this new witch out :)
Witch Youtubers I watch: Owlvine Green, Anais Alexandre, and others I can’t remember.
Witch Discord: For discords I would look up “witch discords” on Tumblr and join some. These can be like covens or not, depends on you. I find them extremely helpful and also find many books on them. Plus there are some specifically for new witches!
Witch Apps: Headspace (for meditation), there are many aminos for witches; I use Pagans and the Witches amino. Discord app, and the Wicca app. You can also get diary apps as dream journals and grimoire/book of shadows, if you can’t keep a real one. :)
Witch Tumblrs: @moonlightacademy , @wyntercraft , @themori-witch , @witchcrafttips , and many many many others!
