In Ah and Ki Jun's dynamic was reminding me of another kdrama couple, but I couldnt place it until ep 3.

Now I know who they remind me of, Ji Yeon and Dong Ha from Witch's Romance.

Of course the set up and environment and all of that are vastly different, but I feel like the character beats are the same. Ji Yeon and In Ah are both well-respected, but not well-liked. They have a reputation for quality work but not one single team mate who would take a stand for them. In fact, their respective teams wouldn't mind their humiliation because in their minds, both the women deserve to be taken down a notch because despite their good work, they are seen as stepping over everyone to do it. And this actually happens for Ji Yeon and is in the process of happening for In Ah.

Then there is Ki Jun and Dong Ha. Both them of handsome, well-liked, very personable and the complete antithesis of In Ah and Ji Yeon. And yet, that quality of trying to be everything to everyone and in essence, well-liked, enables them to see past In Ah and Ji Yeon's exterior and clock the actual person on the inside. Granted, they do it because they want to smoothen the path (at least in Ki Jun's case lmao) but at the same time, they find the prickly exterior fascinating, and it truly does take courage to be disliked and reviled for doing your job, which I wager Ki Jun is somewhat baffled by and somewhat charmed by, and which Dong Ha was definitely charmed by , and also because in the early stages of the drama, the almost hook-up with Ji Yeon is never far from his mind, so the less he tries to think about her, the more firmly she lodges herself in his mind.
