magic and witchcraft has evolved and developed to adapt to modern day times and with societal norms and customs and laws and such. every witch or magic(k) practitioner has their own path and set of moral values and beliefs and chosen set of labels. this is a thing that’s seen a lot especially on witchblr, in which there many spells out there that take on a less energy-taxing turn and can be considered free and easy. however, sometimes these consist of just dunking stones in rainwater or drinking tea or drawing on paper, and can come across as “superficial” or “not authentic”. of course there is such as personal preference, and such posts may be controversial, especially to those who prefer more traditional or ritualistic methods. HOWEVER, that does not give you a right to invalidate someone else’s practice, unless it really affects others or their own wellbeing. so what if someone finds solace in just simple acts like making tea or putting waters in their tea? so what if someone might not have the energy or the right state of mind to be doing rituals? so what if someone may not have the resources to be performing something more in-depth? people can live their lives and be doing their own things, people can have their own beliefs, people can do their damn witchcraft and follow their own path, and if they aren’t hurting anyone else or being vastly misinformed, then why do you get a say in that?
