Not to mention that you had a horse you were really fond of too

And never let anyone touch your horse or ride

Geralt smiled whenever he saw you talking to your horse

But deadpanned if you looked his direction, not wanting you to see

You knew anyway, of course, being so smart and intuitive

The two of you found yourselves traveling together often

And you felt comfortable around him, like you were friends for a long time

His way of showing you he liked you was letting you touch Roach

You honestly were fond of the horse too and softly caressed her

Geralt secretly loved having you around, except for one thing

When you flirted with him it was so… surprising to him

And you were so cheeky about it too, it was astonishing

“Look at those biceps, they’re the size of my head!”

Geralt would just stare at you whenever you said something like that

And give you a dangerous look when you went to touch his arm

You weren’t intimidated by him, though, nor his grumpiness

Knowing deep down he was soft and kind

You were unfazed by his glares or annoyed grunts

Instead, you always continued to flirt with him

Which upset him because he didn’t want to give in to your charm

In a way, you do it to see where his limit is, almost like a game

Will he actually react to something, get mad maybe?

Or far better, maybe… reciprocate? Smile? Wink at you? Kiss you?

One time you made the mistake of doing this in front of Jaskier

“Geralt, I love that you’re so protective and keep walking ahead”

“Why is that? I thought you were capable enough of holding your own”

Jaskier choked on his own saliva and started laughing out loud

Until one day he finally snaps, having had enough of it

“Geralt, I don’t know if you’re doing it on purporse, but…”

“But what?” He quickly turns around to you, a dangerous look in his eyes

He cocks an eyebrow, challenging you to finish the sentence

You smirk and dare to say it, dying to know what he’ll do

“Your sexy deep voice is driving me crazy”

“Stop that right now” “Or what” “Or I might not contain myself”

“By all means, witcher, unleash your wrath on me and-”

You yelp when he urgently takes you in his arms and kisses you

You had thought you were annoying him with your flirting

When in reality, he was just trying to hold himself back

Because he found you as attractive as you found him

At first you didn’t quite get along at all

You had found yourselves fighting side by side many times

But you didn’t like each other because your personalities clashed

You thought the other was bossy and cold at first

Until you were forced to spend more time together

Then Cahir realized that you didn’t take crap from anyone

That you were strong, brave and determined

And he started getting a liking to you little by little

You found that he then became a little more open and kind

How he cared more about you, always making sure you were okay

After every battle, he asked if you were injured

He often checked on you to make sure you didn’t need anything

At first it confused you and even annoyed you

Because it made you feel like he was understimating you

You kept telling him you could take care of yourself and didn’t need him

Which only made him grin a little, something quite rare for him

And when he answered ‘I know’ it was when you realized

He didn’t check on you because he thought you needed help

But because he admired you and wanted to look after you

He once told you how he thought you were an amazing warrior

And an incredible driven and courageous person

From then on, you began realizing that he was fond of you

And learned to see those little details for what they were

Some of them being catching him smiling to himself

It was a smile that said ‘Y/N is amazing and I am lucky to have them’

Can you do a Geralt x witch!reader imagine where they’re frenemies but with lots of pinning and sexual tension?

Sure, but I’ll write this as headcanons since imagines are closed right now and also this is too general for an imagine. I’m not the best at writings frenemies, so I hope you can enjoy it nonetheless :P

Geralt:

You had known each other for a really long time

It just so happens that you keep meeting unexpectedly

You keep bumping into each other anywhere you go

Mainly because in those places there’s something of interest for both

But you two basically have the same reactions all the time

Roll your eyes, sigh in exasperation and reluctantly say hello

“Y/N…” “Geralt…” “Long time no see” “Too long, apparently”

If any of you has company, they notice a certain tension

Jaskier, for example, has no problem in commenting it out loud

In fact, if you meet him enough he might have a new song prepared

Just for that moment, and he’d start singing it to tease you two

Something talking about how you pretend to hate the other

When in reality, there’s a fine line between love and hate

Probably including a few lines somewhere in there with innuendos

You can consider yourself lucky if they are subtle, though

So you end up having to travel with Geralt, almost ‘stuck together’

Or so you say, but deep down you’re kind of happy to be with him

And he feels at ease with you, not that any of you would admit it either

When there’s any danger, you always look out for each other

You use your powerful magic to get rid of it, always shielding him

Geralt also uses his skill to fight back, protecting you too

One time he heard you scream and shouted your name

He got scared when he saw you falling down and ran to you

Luckily, you hadn’t been injured, just used too much magic

Another time, you hadn’t noticed you were about to get hit

And Geralt put an arm around you and brought you close to him

When you looked into each other’s eyes the world almost stopped

You were both breathless from the fight, and still really close

Just there, staring into the other’s eyes and holding on to each other

That’s the moment when your companions clear their throats

And you break away and get back to your usual alleged enmity

“I had everything under control, witcher” “You clearly didn’t”

It’s just like that all the time, and a lot of silent gestures

When you’re hurt you notice him walking especially close to you

Almost like he wants to pick you up and carry you since you’re tired

And whenever he has to take a potion you worry that it was too much

Also stupid things like a lot of unnecesary touching

Maybe some day one of you will act on this pining and do something

In the meantime, your companions have lots of fun with you two

Because watching your interactions is deeply amusing

Hey there dear! I'm glad you're back, could you write a headcanon for Geralt and a f/warrior that is following him for a job, they argue and he sents her away. She leaves and he regrets doing that and goes after her but they are ambushed by a monster and she's severely wounded. He manages to bring her to a healer and while she's unconscious and he is by her side he realizes that he's in love with her? ( can I suggest a thing inspired by "you are my sunshine" since she's blond?) Bye!

Remember that Witcher requests are closed at the moment

Geralt:

Things were a little tense between you two at the moment

Geralt was tired and irritated from the witcher job

You were angry because he was so controlling

Granted, he was only trying to protect you

But he made you feel useless and helpless instead

You and Geralt argued over that and he asked you to leave

“If you’re only going to get in my way, leave”

It wasn’t only what he said, but how angry he got

How he shouted at you and demanded that you left

Outraged by his behavior, you were more than happy to leave

It was a mistake to part ways, because luck wasn’t on your side

You ended up running into the very creature Geralt was hunting

Not expecting it, you couldn’t defend yourself

Geralt found you not long after that, badly injured and bloody

The witcher had regretted shouting at you the moment you left

When he found you there, unconscious and hurt? He hated himself

Quickly slaying the monster, he then picked you in his arms and ran

Just ran to get you to a healer, to save you, to help you

Whatever the cost, he would do it if you would be okay

While he carried your unconscious body, he was terrified

He didn’t remember ever being so scared and so angry as well

How stupid he had been to let you get hurt like this, in more than one way

He was beyond relieved when he arrived to a healer

They said you would be alright and everything fell into place once more

It was hard for him to trust your wellbeing to someone else

But that healer seemed to know what they were doing

He stayed by your side until you woke up

Not leaving you for a second, still scared out of his mind

It was then when he realized his feelings for you

Just the thought of losing you was too horrible for him

Geralt Headcannons where he and reader have to sneak around to get some time alone

Geralt:

You and Geralt have gotten incredibly close

It was though at first until you got through to him

Until you broke through his walls and he gave in to you

Allowed himself to show you how much he trully loved you

Yet now, traveling with him, you spend a lot of time together

There is a lot of very subtle flirting, a gaze here, a smirk there

You like to tease him and wink at him or compliment him

Because, as much as you love being with each other, you’re not alone

There is always someone around pretty much at all times

Sometimes it’s people that claim Geralt’s protection as a witcher

Or people who ask for his help and need to take him where he needs to go

Most of the time, however, it’s Jaskier that gets on your nerves

The bard is always hanging around you, ruining the mood

Geralt has tried to get rid of him many times, just for a moment

All he wants is some time alone! To be with you and be able to kiss you

Because even if he just has an arm around you, Jaskier complains

“Uh, can you not do that in front of me?” “He’s just holding me” “I know”

One time you sneakily went to kiss Geralt, but Jaskier caught you

“Oi, stop that right now, Y/N!” “It was just a kiss…” “No, it wasn’t!”

You looked at Geralt, who tiredly rolled his eyes, but Jaskier continued

He tries to make excuses to get Jaskier away for a moment

Like telling him to go ahead and rent the room when you reach an inn

Or asking him to go water the horses or something of the like

And you just throw yourselves at each other as soon as he’s gone

Trying to make it count before he returns, being quick and passionate

You’re all over each other, fervently kissing each other

Your hands hungrily going up and down the other’s body

“How long do you think we have?” “Knowing him, not long”

“What does that mean?” “I think he’s trying to wind me up”

You grin at the implications that Jaskier is torturing you two

He has given you space many times to be alone, but he can’t help it

He just loves being around you two and doesn’t want to be a third wheel

Indeed, Jaskier is outraged when he returns and finds you there

He has missed most of it, but doesn’t lose time to give you a lecture

“I can’t believe that you want to get rid of me in such a way!” “Jaskier…”

“No, Y/N! Can’t you stay off each other for five minutes?”

Geralt still has an arm around you, and you snicker a little

In the end, it almost becomes a game to see how much Jaskier notices

Kissing behind his back, touching each other when he can’t see…

And when he does notice, you always playfully say ‘that was your fault’

You still want your time alone, but find the fun in this too

Geralt is the authoritarian type of father

Or at least he wants to be, he wants to be tough and firm

He is definitely very protective of his child, that’s for sure

But he can’t quite be as severe as he would want

Often giving in when they ask stuff from him

Because he wants to give his child everything they want

Even when he realizes they’re just silly whims or something irrational

If he could, Geralt would give them the moon and the stars

He isn’t the best at showing he cares, though, even if he deeply does

Geralt has trouble saying ‘I love you’ to them, for example

And he’s so protective that it hinders their progress and independence

Forbiding things for them just to avoid getting them in danger

Some things are definitely rational, like protecting them from hunts

Geralt refuses to let them accompany him when he’s a witcher

And they would get mad at him because they want to be like their dad

Geralt doesn’t mind that they get angry, he prefers it

Anything as long as they’re safe, even if they’re mad at him

He’s a little awkward sometimes too, especially when they were little

Holding a baby? What’s that? How does one do it?

Geralt doesn’t really know much about taking care of them

But with a little help he would learn quickly

He’s afraid of them, almost, they are so tiny and fragile

And Geralt feels like a big strong klutz around them

He’s so scared of dropping them or holding them too tightly

Really, he’s constantly scared to hurt them one way or another

And he doesn’t have the patience with teenagers at all

Also, Geralt restrains himself about swearing

It is kind of amusing watching him struggle not to cuss

But he would be a great dad, because he cares so much

Because he just loves his child with all his heart

Sure, Geralt makes some mistakes, but he’s trying to learn

All in all, he would make a really good dad

Because Geralt is protective, caring and kind

Jaskier:

Jaskier would be so soft with his child, he adores them

Can’t stop speaking about them and how adorable they are

How talented, charming and smart they are (”just like their father!”)

You know he has written song after song for them

When they were babies, he would play ballads for them

Sing them lullabies to put them to sleep

He holds them so gingerly, so tenderly

And he loves playing with them, he can get on their level

Jaskier has that childlike curiosity and wonder, so he gets them

Kids also adore him because he’s so fun and so energetic

Jaskier loves telling them stories, they’re also a great audience

He does have to make an effort, sometimes, though

Because he can be so immature and is used to making innuendos

So sometimes he has to really stop himself, to keep their innocence

Same thing with swearing, even if he doesn’t swear all that often

But he needs to remind himself that there’s children around

Other than that, he would make an amazing father

He’s tender, loving, patient and a big child at heart

Jaskier is a big romantic and falls in love very easily

But usually, he’s pretty smooth and charming and has no problems

People usually love him easily and start flirting back

With you, though, it’s not the case at all

He would usually approach whoever and compliment them

Give them a dashing smile and a playful joke maybe

With you he’s speechless, though, and can’t do that

So he asks his dear friend Geralt for help on the matter

And as much as Geralt enjoys watching him mess up, he accepts

Geralt just thinks you make a great couple anyway

Also, he wants Jaskier to shut up about you already

“I don’t know, I can’t understand! What is it about Y/N?”

“I don’t care, Jaskier” “I’m so infatuated, I can’t even speak to Y/N!”

“You’re welcome” Geralt whispers to him. “Remember to breathe”

He pats Jaskier’s back and leaves you two alone

The bard gulps, realizing he was holding his breath

“I-I’m alright, Y/N” Jaskier manages to say, finally. “He exaggerated a bit”

“Well, I’m glad you’re okay” You smile, and he just goes 😍

“Would you like to hear my newest song?” He suddenly asks, thinking fast

“Of course!” And that’s mostly what he does when he’s with you

Unable to talk to you, Jaskier expresses himself through his music

Always after Geralt gives him a little boost that is

It had been a really crazy day full of adventures

Of excitement, dragons, hunters and a lot of people

The three of you got mildly hurt and scared for each other

Especially you and Jaskier, who freaked out over the other

So it was an emotional day just with that, worrying about your friends

Geralt was also really moody at you two the whole day

Because you and Jaskier were so close and talkative all the time

He kept rolling his eyes at you two as he saw you interacting

Especially when Jaskier took your hand and dramatically sighed

“My poor heart stopped when I saw you falling down to the ground, Y/N”

You knew he was playing around a little, but had been truly concerned

Finally arriving to a tavern to blow off some steam, you drank

Then came the silence as you stared into each other’s eyes

You were suddenly captivated by that closeness and intimacy

The tavern around you seemed to dissapear completely

It was only you and him now, blocking out the noise and people

The two of you seemed to be breathing heavily now

You thought it was from the dancing, but maybe something more

Your souls and minds seemed connected as you moved in sync

Closing your eyes and leaning in until your lips finally touched

Jaskier held on to you, seemingly letting out all the tension of the day

Urgently squeezing you against him like he had been craving to do

You also melted in the embrace, placing your hands over his shoulders

The kiss was sweet and passionate, slow as you enjoyed every second

His lips were soft, tasting a little like the liquor you both drank

His hands were gentle, even as they urgently pressed you against him

You would have happily kissed for hours, it was so exhilarating

You were tingling all over and had butterflies in your stomach

But you were running out of oxygen and had to pull away

When you did, gasping for air, you had to take a moment

Your eyes were closed just for a little longer to linger on the sensations

It was Jaskier chuckling that forced you to look at him

“You okay there, Y/N? Am I such a good kisser?”

His smirk was annoying you and driving you crazy at the same time

You had to take a moment to catch your breath to reply, holding on to him

“Shut up, before you start singing one of your stupid songs”

He laughed at your joke and tightened his arms around you

You laughed at what he said too, even if none of you moved

You were still incredibly close and clutching on to each other

You heard him humming a tune that was new to you
