It was a surprise to both of you when you and the infamous galaxy ranger got into a relationship (then again, with Boothill's charm and deadly looks…is it really a surprise?)

I don't think this is much of a surprise, but you dating a walking, talking criminal basically means you signed up for (in Boothill's own words) "a wild ash ride"

Can and will act as your shield, if you ever happen to be in a case where you're in danger, Boothill's got your back!
You can try your luck and make a few jokes, but this cowboy will take away your "kissing privileges" (he loves you too much to make that threat stick tho)
Moving on tho, I can see him being protective of you
Sure, dating Boothill is basically having an adventure almost every day, but i think that he'd still make sure you're safe, even if you're along for the ride

sure, he'll make a flirty comment or tease you about how your face turns red every time he works his "charm". But if you want him to stop, he'll give you a "sorry darlin" before stopping his shenanigans completely

How Bucky would handle you getting hurt on a mission - panicking and then back at hq tending to you and patching you up hurt comfort is definitely not one of my top three favourite tropes nuh uh

Fun fact! I almost wrote this as a drabble, but apparently my brain was feeling a bit too angsty to follow through on the “comfort” aspect there. (I blame the fact that I watched Romeo and Juliet last night, lol). But this one ends… I’m not gonna say happy, because it’s not exactly happy, but it’s not depressing at least. 🤣

• It’s literally the stuff of Bucky’s nightmares.
• Hydra’s torture, the heinous acts he was forced to commit as The Winter Soldier… and losing you.
• The nightmares are frequent and vivid. You, bleeding out in the snow. You, captured by Hydra. You, screaming for him to help you, save you.
• The setting changes, but the ending never does.
• …You die.
• Glassy, unseeing eyes staring up at him. Pale, cold skin beneath his hands.
• When he wakes up in a cold sweat, the scream of your name dying on his lips, he can still feel it. As if it’s not an if…it’s a when.
• He doesn’t tell you.
• Not because he doesn’t want to, but because he believes, in some sick way, if he voices the nightmares out loud, they’ll come true.
• He’s never been superstitious, but that’s a risk he’s not willing to take.
• So, when he sees you go down in front of him, bullets ricocheting off heavy concrete walls, your hand moving to cup the blood leaking through your fingers, there’s a small part of him that doesn’t believe it. That hopes it’s just another dream he’ll wake up from.
• But it’s not.
• In his dreams, you’re always screaming for him. Begging him. Blaming him.
• In reality, you’re silent, lips pinched together, breathing heavily through your nose.
• His name doesn’t break the silence until he’s on his knees beside you.
• “Bucky.” It’s a whimpered reassurance, as if he’s the one in need of comfort.
• For a second, Bucky just stares at the blood dripping under your hand. Choked by it. It looks so much like his dreams.
• But even in his dreams, he’s trying to save you.
• A guttural groan leaves your throat when Bucky places his hand over yours, applying more pressure than you were capable of on your own.
• He winces and mutters an apology, but you only nod.
• “‘s fine,” you hiss through your teeth.
• The blood doesn’t slow.
• It oozes between his fingers, staining his hands red. Raw, unfiltered panic rips at Bucky’s throat. Like it does in the nightmares…
• But this isn’t one of his nightmares. This is real.
• Bile rises in his throat. Blood slips between his fingers, slippery and warm.
• “It’s okay.” He’s not sure if the words are yours or his. “It’s okay, you’re gonna be okay.”
• His. The words are his. Desperate, pleading, screams wailing in the back of his mind.
• “Sam! We need a med evac. STAT!” The comms crackled in reply, but he didn’t hear it. The light was leaving your eyes, slowly, steadily, skin pale, growing cold beneath his fingers.
• “Stay with me. Stay with me.” Tears slipped down his cheeks as he repeated the words like a prayer—like the repetition alone could save you.
• “Buck…” Your bloodstained fingers fell over his. Fragility. Weakness. He wanted to scream! “It’s okay.”
• But it wasn’t okay.
• The ghosts of his past haunted him even now, whispering in his ear, “She’s gone. She’s gone. She’ll be gone soon.”
• Gone. Like the way he lost everything. Like the way he ruined it. Gone.
• Bucky barely noticed the medical team barrelling down the halls, sliding to a stop beside you. He only noticed when Sam attempted to pry him away from you. Your eyes were closed now. Breathing. Were you still breathing??
• “Easy, Bucky. Easy. Let them do their work.”
• It took everything within him not to collapse as they loaded you onto a stretcher. Blood dripped on the concrete floor. You were so pale, so…lifeless.
• Bucky paced the hospital waiting room until he was admitted in. This wasn’t in his nightmares. This part was never in his nightmares. He never had a chance to get you to a hospital.
• …Yet, here he was.
• He hoped beyond hope that that meant this time was different. That this time, he would control the ending to his dreams.
• “You can see her now.” Bucky didn’t need to be told twice.
• When he walked into your room, you smiled. Groggy and high, but smiling. “Bucky.”
• Without even saying your name, he buried his face in the blankets of your bed, fell to his knees, and sobbed.
• And you let him.
• Because no matter what happened after this, he would forever be grateful this wasn’t a nightmare.

like i desperately just want to learn all the dynamics. the drugs, the hook ups, the way he talks to his mother as if he's expecting her to deny him the things he needs. the way he literally cannot stop himself from snapping at his Bryson, but very much regrets it afterwards because that gives his brother more ammunition against him, and the fact that he knows his mother would never side with Jeremy on anything to get him out of it. the very obviously complicated relationship he has with his sister, the absent father issues, combined with the fact that he refuses to take Wilshire as his last name, and prefers to keep Knox even though he knows his father isn't going to give him a chance. the way he represses shit and avoids shit like its a full time job– with his life on the line. PLEASE. TALK ABOUT IT WITH ME. I NEED THEORIES AND ANALYSES OR IM GONNA DIE!!!!

they will stare at each other. from across the room, in passing, whatever excuse they can use to stare. tony will be staring at whatever view he can get of steve. hes the guy that thinks you cant see what hes staring at because hes got sunglasses on but everyone knows.
knock out
tony will tease steve by using a lot of lingo from the 40's especially when they visit the captain america (and winter soldier) museum.
the ol' one two
they aslo flirt but hitting each other. not aggressively but they occasionally hit one another on the arm or nudge each other back and forth, a little firm poke at one another. but really deep down they want to make out.
date night disaster
they can never make up their mind where to go. tony wants to go to a 5 star place for dinner, steve wants to go have a casual dinner at a diner and a movie but tony's either already seen it or isnt interested and doesnt like public cinema. and when they finally do make up their mind it often ends with some guy getting punched in the face and the two of them agreeing to never go there again while they get desert from a food truck.
"i know that look"
theres several looks they both know from each other. tony's looks are often "im going to do something stupid" "i have an idea that'll probably backfire" and something not age appropriate. while steve's looks are usually "i have something dumb to say" "im about to punch this guy" and "god my boyfriend is an adorable idiot".
protectiveness and jealousy
steve is the protective one, tony is the jealous one. when steve gets jealous hes overprotective and a little clingy but when tony is jealous he gets grumpy and pushy for attention or starts arguments. when tony is protective its because he stresses over steve being in danger and he'll "ground" him from going out for a bit incase someone put a hit on him but when steve is protective its because he doesnt like tony being swarmed with press but also because he too stresses about tony being in danger, he doesnt want tony to end up with shrapnel in his chest again, he often takes the approach of redirecting tony elsewhere, if he tries a diversion tony will read him like a book.

- Non-human ears = ticklish… ALWAYS
- I feel like he’s a super awkward lee at first. He doesn’t know how to react but he scrunches his shoulders, squeezes his eyes shut, ears wiggling, legs kicking. He snickers and his little teeth show hehe
- More of a breathy/squeaky laugh. I can see him snorting on occasion if he laughs hard enough
- Definitely gets tickled the most by Ifa and Citlali. But after getting to know the other heroes a lot more, I think Mualani and Iansan would love to tease him 🥰
- Excellent at hiding from his ler, they will have a terrible time trying to catch him in a chase
- As a ler, he’s pretty shy and unsure of himself at first. He worries too much about the technique and intensity, contentedly asking if the lee is okay
- Would totally use his little fangs for tickle bites on someone he is comfortable with 👀
- Weak spots would be his ears, armpits and knees.
- Light traces drive him insane. He squirms and tries not to giggle :3
