Today’s Journal Entry:
Killed an Archespore near Toussaint, got covered in its fluids.
Haven’t got paid, slept in the woods (again).
Met old friends on the road, drank an ale together. Or more than one. I don’t remember, may you be cursed Lambert.
Back on the Path with Shard.
About today:
An Endrega almost took my arm, I had to save that idiot of Jarek from it.
Bought carrots for Shard, now he can't say that I don't spoil him, and dried venison for the road.
My silver sword almost broke today, I have to get it looked at.
Met Eskel finally and went around the market searching for a bell, Lil' Bleater is more and more of a scoundrel.
I literally fell in love with this song, it reminds me of faerie woods, of nice elves, of the before.
Before the great War, that killed my mother. She was a wood elf and for that she was considered a threat, something to kill and forget.
I was already training as a Witcher, but I heard the news from the travellers passing through the market. It destroyed me, and shattered my faith in humanity. I got called many names in my life but there's one that stuck.
The Wild One.
I embraced my elven origins, and became an archer, a danger to every men that rode in the woods. Every time I saw a Redanian soldier, I made sure that the soldier would not go home, and be found near the great oak with no heart.
I have never been in a good relationship with the Scoia'tael, they considered me a mad thing, and I looked at them as pathetic beings.
It was Aiden that stopped me, stopped all my wood massacres. He took me back to the School and convinced me to let it go, that it was not worth spending my entire existence chasing my own revenge.
After that I spent there a whole year, but even now people remember me as the Wild One.
I guess it's a stain on my name that will never go away, even if Jaskier's ballads about Witchers are helping a lot. Jarek does what he can to help me, he is a good friend.
Eskel is slowly becoming one of my dearest friends, he manages to calm my fits of rage on hot topics just speaking to me and sometimes tackling me to the ground when I'm being a big whiny baby.
Lambert is an asshole as ever but the best drinking buddy in the Continent, I swear.
Geralt is... Eh. He doesn't speak much, doesn't he? But he can understand me better then the others, with his "Butcher of Blaviken" problem. So even if he speaks mostly grunting, we get along very well.
Vesemir is my father. That's it, he looks out for us all, cares about us but he is also a strict one on certain things. I have took a whack across the head more then once for being whiny.
Jaskier is absolutely amazing. Really. I mean he can be pretty annoying when I want some peace and he comes here and asks me for an opinion on his new song, but he means well.
I am happy to having found a new family, after the other one got slaughtered by those whoresons.
Fucking kill a wraith, eat a baked apple. It's a Witcher's life for us.
