i'm sure i'm not the first one to make the comparison of the Great Cleansing with the holocaust, but the fact that they used "first they came..."-esque syntax for jaskier's "why help" answer is just so!!! idk i have a lot of feelings about how this man who has no direct reason to get between elves and nilfgaard wants to help anyways bc he believes it's the right thing to do and i just!! growth!! we love to see it!!

i kind of wish we had a scene with jaskier and filavandrel where fil finds out he's the sandpiper that helped get his people to xin'trea bc wouldn't it be lovely to see the snot nosed brat who believed the fucked up history books turn into one of your biggest allies against oppression? like respect doesn't make history, but also it does bc i'm sure jaskier's respect for fil and the elves' perseverance is part of why he's fighting for them and now he's the man, the myth, the legend.

anyways i was just thinking abt it and put on my Pretentious English Major hat on for a moment to :jeremyrennerchinhands: at jaskier and his Otherness that i'm hoping with all my might is not just twn trying to queerbait us. even if he doesn't get to tell geralt to stop being a fool and to kiss him, i hope we get some outward confirmation next season.
