Send my muses headcanon prompts to get to know them better!
@chaosfaery sent "12, 13, 14 (for Andgriel’s medieval au)" and @witcheraiden sent "15, 19, and 22 for andgriel"
12 (something small they enjoy (All)) - the soft lips of horses, and their bristly chins. It's his happy place, out amongst horses, and he especially loves when he knows the herd or one or two well enough that he's accepted into their dynamic. His favorite herd ritual is mutual grooming, and it always feels like he's been accepted when he's out giving scratches or grooming, and a horse will return the gesture with their soft lipping and gentle nibbles.
13 (physical contact (All)) - Andgriel is dubious about physical contact from people he doesn't know, just because he doesn't necessarily trust strangers, and even sometimes finds himself touch-repulsed by people he knows when heightened emotionally. (Medieval AU) He's learned to deal with this discomfort, keeping it concealed unless the person has poor intentions, or he's thoroughly overwhelmed.
14 (what brings them to tears (All)) - the loss of an animal or extremely close human companion is really the only way to get true tears. Extreme joy as well would do the trick.
15 (biggest pet peeve) - answered herehere in another prompt meme, but to reiterate: it's incredibly frustrating to him, as someone who regularly works with those in circumstances out of their control but seemingly attempting to get help and get back on their feet when they shun that help. It's of course different if an individual isn't ready to accept aid or doesn't want it, but when they've reached out and asked for the assistance, just to shrug it off and continue whatever they were struggling with before that is detrimental to themselves or those around themselves... yeah. Does not like. (Also, this does not pertain to relapse, there is no fault there. It's the conscious choice of accepting assistance someone plans to devalue or ignore.)
19 (bad habits) - Andgriel has been known well to be reclusive from the world at large, and sometimes from those that know him intimately as well. Just shut out the world and hide on his farm, which isn't good for anyone who knows him and wants to ensure he's okay or for his mental health, truthfully.
22 (strangest thing they've seen) - as a kid growing up on a medium/large-scale dairy and beef farm with an active role in his early years assisting, he'd seen a fair few calves born with defects. It's not wholly uncommon, with an extra digit here or hairlessness there. The one that will always stick in his mind, though, is when he was six a calf was born with cyclopia. It was the only time he'd seen it occur, and in the wee hours of the morning in the dim barn it was a sight indeed.
