The Witch's pyramid. A tool to manifest/make magic.

See: Visualize what you want. See it clearly.

Will: Have a burning desire and strong will that you'll get what you want. Will it to be so.

Believe: Believe it is happening/has happened. Believe in the magic.

Be Silent: Don't tell people about it.

Most people I know or see online throw out the "be silent" part and have justifications against it.

The Witches Pyramid

The witches pyramid, or the wisdom of the mage, is a very important foundation that all witches [regardless of religion, or following] should base their practice on. 

                                When drawn out it is represented by the pentagram [and sometimes an actual pyramid]. The five points represent all the necessities to living a healthy, productive, successful, and magical life. Each point represents an element and a command [strong word.. but not command as in 'rule', but as in something to 'command' your life with, and live by]

The elements: water, earth, air, fire, and spirit. 

The principles: to dare, to be silent, to know, to will, to go. 

Just as every element is a necessity to our physical and spiritual life, so are the principles. And I believe that these principles can be applied to our lives in all aspects, not just those concerning magic. 

We use [and need] a balance in all four of the elements to reach the goal at the top.. spirit. To maintain a balanced personal spirit, and to worship the spirits, or gods. 

Likewise, we need to maintain balance in all four of the principles [to dare, to be silent, to know, to will]. And with balance in those four we can reach the top point, which is 'to go'. TO GO stands for 'to achieve', 'to succeed', 'to take action'. 

So while a balanced spirit and oneness will be achieved with equal parts of the elements, 

Success and progress will be achieved in life and in magic with the balancing of the principles.

Four Powers of the Magus, Four Secrets of the Sphynx

  *NOSCERE, To Know means that you will strive to learn as much as you can in this lifetime and that you will apply this knowledge to your daily life. It also means that you will seek truth in all things and be willing to change your perceptions to meet your awakening spirituality.

*AUDERE, To Dare says you have pushed fear behind you and that you will be courageous and proactive in all that you do. You will believe in yourself and have faith in the universe and in your own abilities.

*VELLE, To Will means that you will learn to focus your thoughts and practise meditation and visualization in order to reach your goals. It means that you won't sit back and let the world pass you by - you will work towards your dreams. You will meet obstacles and find positive solutions to overcome them.

*TACERE, To Be Silent, means that you will keep your mouth shut about the magick you do, lest others destroy the magick before it ever manages to manifest. It also means that you will think before you speak, and that you won't throw pearls before swine (giving good information to bad people). Finally, it means that you will follow the etiquette of the Craft and not blab about what happened in the ritual circle, carry gossip, and not harm others intentionally with your words.

*IRE, To Go, means that you will master the four pillars of the base of the pyramid and use them in a positive way to help yourself and others. This is the ultimate meaning of the Witch's Oath of Service.

  As Above, So Below.
