A must for your Witch's diary .... Saturday 1st April 2017.....The Muses are excited to invite popular author and traditional witch Lee Morgan back for a new workshop. _ Story Sorcery - Bringing together the arts and the Art _ _ This workshop explores the place of story and narrative in witchcraft, as well as that of other art-forms. Faeries and witches are both known for having taboos on speaking about your interactions with them, for this reason the fairytale takes on a special resonance. It allows us through story telling to somehow discuss what usually can’t be spoken. The first part of the workshop will be dedicated to discovering, both through enquiry and divination methods where our personal areas of strength lie when it comes to expression. Followed by a discussion about ways in which magic manifests itself through our creative life and how we can use storytelling to alter situations and cast glamours. We will look at our lives from the perspective of the fairytale and work out who we are in the story of our power narrative. Next we will look at what might be termed the ‘magical technology’ of this kind of work followed by a practical experiment in therapeutic art and storytelling. The final part of the day will be used to bring together what we’ve learned in a working designed to combine creative magic both in the area we feel strongest in and the area we feel weakest in. We will wrap up with a talk about how these skills can be applied strategically to counter common life challenges.
