A later flowering cultivar Hamamelis × intermedia 'Aurora' (witch hazel) produces fragrant flowers that are yellow, shading to bronze-red at the base of the petals. This is a vigorous, deciduous shrub with a vase-shaped habit. The foliage produces striking autumn colours turning orange-yellow and red.
