The Woman in the House Across the Street From the Woman in the Window Sentence Starters - @witcr said: ❝ do you ever wonder if we could… ❞
His sentence hung in the air, thick and heavy with no conclusion. It made Yennefer purse her lips together in a tight line for a moment, as it held with it so many POSSIBILITIES. Perhaps Geralt had let the sentence trail off because he didn’t know how to voice exactly what it was that she was asking of her, but Yennefer could feel in her heart, that it was about them. It was about what fate, or destiny, or whatever was between them. All the good and all the bad all rolled up and thrown between them to fall like a house of cards.
“We are the only ones that can answer that,” she began, moving to busy herself with really anything to take her mind off of the DOUBTS that plagued her thoughts when she thought about them. A future she wanted...didn’t believe she could have. A functional family. Safety. Comfort. LOVE. “And yet somehow, I feel like we change the answer every time. Perhaps that means we’ll never stop trying.”
At least she wouldn’t. She couldn’t. Even when she wanted to scream her frustrations to the sky, she could never give up. Not on something that made her feel like this inside--SOMEONE that made her feel like this. She loved him so much it was hard to breathe sometimes, but she never knew exactly how things would work out, and it killed her a little inside.
“That wasn’t what you MEANT, was it?”
