@witchy-push Since you seem interested in opening a dialogue, let’s discuss this!

1) The original sketch was used as more than just a reference - it was directly traced. That is the point of the overlay - to compare the lines and how they well, line up. This is most apparent in the shape and folds of the shirt. The folds under the bust, the sleeve, the collar, and the hand shape are all identical in the stolen piece to the original sketch. If this sketch was only referenced, these marks would not be identical and the fabric of the shirt would fall differently.

2) What your saying has already happened. This sketch was redrawn and in the bottom right corner is the signature of the art thief. All markings of the original artist have been removed, and there was no mention to claim that the sketch was the original source.

3) That’s understandable! Learning from others is totally viable. That is why bases exist - so beginner artists have a starting point to grow off of. Bases are great for artists who are just starting out and learning to practice their skills and grow. The stolen sketch is not a base however. If something is not intended to be used as a base, one should not use it as a base. Simple as that.

6. Who wraps their arms around their partner who is cooking?

Jay handles most of the actual cooking once they're living together, since he and Jacob had to teach themselves from a pretty early age, and Merula's certainly not complaining about one less thing to do. Sometimes, if what he's making smells particularly good, or if he's taking too long, Merula might sneak up behind him and peek over his shoulder, which yes, means she also wraps her arms around his waist. It's cute, but sometimes Jay has to move away to check on something before Merula can react, and it usually ends in both of them in a heap on the floor. Which, y'know, there are worse problems to have.

8. Who cuddles up to the other on the couch?

As students, Jay is the one who gets cuddly, usually resting his head on Merula's lap, or, in the colder months, cloaking her in his arms, so to speak. She usually at least pretends to not be happy about it, but she never really tries to wriggle out. After they graduate, and especially after the war, it's like Merula's worried he's going to run off. If they're both sitting, then she'll do basically anything that constitutes physical contact, but she saw that "Yawn-into-arm-around-the-shoulders" move in a muggle movie Jay wanted to watch and now she does it too, though she rarely bothers with the yawn. At home, when Jay's sitting down, usually reading/falling asleep, Merula will walk up to him, point to his lap, ask, "Is this seat taken?" and then not wait for an answer.

9. How do they hold each other when their partner asks to be held?

Hard. Close. That's the short answer, but both of these two idiots are so bad at being vulnerable that they're mostly just asking in the flirty/cuddly way, which, naturally, is not a challenge either of them will back down from. In Jay's case, he likes being a little taller than Merula, because he gets to basically wrap himself around her, tucking his head down to rest on top of hers and just... staying there for a while. In Merula's case, in the rare instances Jay is asking, it's typically because he's exhausted or some shit's going down, so it's not a responsibility she takes lightly. She usually starts by undoing his ponytail to run one of her hands through his hair, and tracing his scars with the other, gently reminding him that she loves him.

10. Who picks up the other fireman style in a playful way?

That's actually one of Jay's favorite parts about being just a little taller than Merula, and he's actually woken Merula up a few times by lifting her out of bed, which... certainly elicits a reaction. It's more him showing off to everyone else than to her, in a bit of a, "EVERYONE LOOK AT MY GIRLFRIEND/WIFE!". However, once they're older, they've both been toughened by the Second Wizarding War, and one morning, Merula tried to give Jay a taste of his own medicine, which... actually worked. Now Merula takes every opportunity she can to (literally) sweep Jay off his feet, and into her arms, basically just to remind him, and show everyone around that she can.

heres another one of my cool friends, notey. the one and only, eugene hope! where do i even begin...

eugene is a really fun and energetic girl. theres always this spark in her eyes whenever shes about to do something stupid. its brilliant! her scars are also really cool... i wonder if she knows that.

shes also really sweet and brave. overall, she is very admirable. id love to go get butterbeer with her again someday.
