It’d been a hard time for all of them. It felt like slowly, it was starting to affect everyone in town. Of course, it could never affect anyone as much as it affected the Helms. Perhaps that was why he was instantly ready to volunteer for the search, and not only because he was a cop. He truly wanted to help, because that’s how he’d want people to react if he was in their situation. And being paired with one of the daughters, he felt like this was a good situation for both of them. It was with a small, faint smile that he made his way over to her, nodding politely at the girl. Shoving his hands deep in his pockets, he took some time before finally speaking up. “So, how are you doing today?”
