Vegas plays the drums, largely self-taught after long days spent fooling around in Lutheran's studio. She also plays guitar, both rhythm and bass—though she prefers rhythm. She picked that skill up at the elbow of Lutheran's lead guitarist, Cherie, a British-punk transplant who did a study abroad in New York for two years before heading back across the pond and taking Lutheran with her.

Every so often when she got the time to get away, Vegas makes a trip out to see them. Sometimes they even play a show or two with Vegas as a guest guitarist or drummer.

"What part exactly," Lucca started in a deceptively casual murmur, "of 'I don't want you doing streetwork' did you miss? Because I was pretty sure we were clear on this." He strode into the living room slowly, tugging the knot loose from his tie with one hand and tossing his suit jacket aside carelessly with the other. Vegas' taste in music is eclectic, to say the least. A lot of it has to do with spending so many years living with street kids who came from all walks of life. Sharing a crash pad, music was a melting-pot subject and the adaptive ones learned to like a little bit of everything. Vegas is just as likely to put on Slipknot as she is to put on Led Zeppelin or Lil' Wayne.

Vegas is somewhat immune to other telepathic intrusions, at least in her experience thus far with other psychics, mutants, etc. They can't get much off her, but similarly, she can't get much of anything off them either. It's like feedback over a speaker system. Nothing coming in, nothing going out, just screeching static. It’s one big telepathic echo and it’s enough to make a person want to grind their teeth.

With angels and other ethereal beings with some semidivine-level of telepathic ability/gift, Vegas never gets whole thoughts, more like fuzzy impressions — and deciphering those impressions requires her to use a touch of her much-loathed empathic gift to garner any measure of coherent clarity from them.
