A weird pet peeve of mine that has absolutely no right to bother me as much as it does;

Woman in period film: spunky and “relateably” modern in her views of the rights of women and how society works and how she feels about love and marriage and sex etc etc

What is presumably intended: if we (the film makers) make her act like someone who actually lives in this time period she would seem weird and unlikeable

The actual effect (to me): we (the film makers) made her have absolutely no idea how to survive in her own society that she lived in her whole entire life in the social role that she was raised specifically and intensively for, so that literally every other character looks like they’re going weirdly out of their way to joyously remind her of shit she should already know and that she’s so dumb and out of touch she kind of deserves the harshness to “burst her bubble” that she wouldn’t have been in anyway, as though she wouldn’t have faced cruelty enough without...doing any of that

I'm genuinely surprised that someone who had known me for 3 years still thinks it's okay to call me past 10 pm without a text. You'd think he would know by now that if I don't get a text first that late, I'll actually block the person if they wake me up. He's lucky I had "do not disturb" on or he would be legit dead.

Without a Cause - CLOSED RP with kingoffallengrace

Gabriel couldn’t believe it. Mike had actually thought to try and fucking ground him after the incident with the cops. He hadn’t done anything that bad, just tagged the side of some random building! Besides, his mark looked great there. Still, Mike had had to pay bail, so he could see being a bit pissed off.

But to tell him he couldn’t go to his own gig? Fuck that, The Pagans needed him. So the night of the show, he slipped out the window and climbed down the side of the house, dashing into Odin’s van, laughing as they sped off.

His family was a strange one; since their dad walked out on them, Mike and Nick had been the ones to take care of Castiel and Gabe. But Gabe hated his brothers playing mommy and daddy, it wasn’t their fucking place. So he did what he wanted.

Which is what he was doing now. Now he had a guitar strap around his shoulder and a mic in his face. He sang I’m Your Nightmare by The Brains and the crowd was rocking out to it. He was all decked out tonight, smudged eyeliner, black bandanna, clunky belted boots, ripped band tee and shredded skinny jeans.

The show was going fucking great, Odin was a beast on the drums and Kali rocked the bass, his own guitar shredding wonderfully.
