I drew Alexander Hamilton today-
I'm not American and after three weeks of being obsessed with Hamilton, I asked my mom if I can have a ten dollar bill. She have me one which she was saving.
I actually felt as if I was holding fandom merchandise as i held the ten dollar bill.
ONE minute later, she took it from my hands!!!
All because she wanted to change it into our money!! WHY WHY WHY!!! I thought she was really giving it to me.
When I get a ten dollar bill one day, I'll never let it go!!
When I was a small and hopeful child dreaming about what my teenage years would be like I definitely did not think I would be making cupcakes to celebrate a founding fathers birthday
but here I am
One and the Same | Closed with without-a-father |
Just two days ago Starla had gotten kicked out of her apartment because the landlord had finally found out that she was underage. She was furious. To say the least, she used a knife and made that bastard pay for it. Now she was homeless. How fantastic.
Yesterday she went to the library to use the computer to find a new apartment, since she couldn’t afford her own computer. She happened to run by this post saying that a girl was looking for a roommate to share rent with. The apartment was nearby too. Of course the situation wasn’t ideal, because Starla had no idea how she was going to hide her little hobby if she had a roommate. Beggars couldn’t be choosers though. Besides that, if the apartment wasn’t under her name, she couldn’t get kicked out for her age again.
That’s why Starla came here. Luckily for her, the apartment building actually didn’t seem half bad so far. Now she just had to see if the girl had already taken a roommate or not. Starla knocked on the door. “Hello? I’m here for the roommate application!”
Father's Day
One of the three most painful days in my year. Dad hasn't been with us since 2001. He died from a heart attack. Alone. Undiscovered for almost a day in the shoebox he rented in the middle of nowhere. His passing, and all the public reminders that I'm without a father, don't hurt quite as much anymore. But the heaviness is there, right over my heart. No ignoring it. I simply acknowledge and move on. Then I stop and think of the silly little shit Dad would enjoy. My life is full of random laughs. Like this morning. My nephew (online I call him A) and I walked to the store. We were in the dairy section, pondering whether we wanted to carry milk or cherry limeaid (guess which won), both of us being utter smartasses. A woman in her 40s walked past. She stopped, smiling at us. "He's adorable." Being that I raised Little Sir Sarcasm since his 1st birthday, I did the mom thing and thanked her. Only then did I look down at A and realized . . . we're both wearing minion t-shirts. We were standing in the store, bickering like the small yellow creatures while wearing them on our shirts. A and I had a nice long giggle about it. The laughs go a long way toward keeping my head straight today.
I really want to get away from all this Father's Day shit.
