So I go home

I cry

I scream

And I start the process over

Find a new doctor

Find a different specialist

Check reviews

Make sure they take my insurance

Call for an appointment

This one isn't seeing new patients

This one is booked 6 months out

So is that one

I make the appointment anyway

I suffer for another 6 months

I research possible diagnoses,

another test to run,

another avenue to pursue

The day of I fret over my appearance

Do I look sick enough to help yet?

I practice the right words,

the right tone,

the right cadence.

I pray that this doctor listens

But I don't have the strength to hope

Since the job I kind of had lined up fell through I thought well, at least I’ll have more time to draw while I’m looking for a new job, I guess. And then my wrist promptly was like… what if I suddenly got fucked up and painful for no reason at all? So fun!! :))
