Your husband has always been protective of you. After all, you're just a fragile and tiny human compared to your dragon partner. At least that's how your husband sees you.

Elio has been territorial over you since the day he started courting you. He would use magic to disguise himself as a normal human, but his inhuman mannerisms would peek out of the façade. Luckily, it didn't scare you. And that just made Elio fall for you even more.

Your story together is quite wholesome, and somewhat ordinary?

You used to be the child of two chefs. Your parents' business was only known to the locals, so it was practically a miracle that Elio came by one evening to try out the food.

When you served him, you immediately noticed he wasn't from your small town. His way of moving seemed almost doll-like, as if it was his first time in a human body (it was).

"Excuse my forwardness, but may I ask if you can dine with me?" He asked towards the end of his meal.

"But you've finished you plate!" You giggle and point at his plate in response. Oh, that melted his heart.

Elio shook his head. "Actually, I have a bigger appetite than most." He admitted before putting on a second order. "But I'd rather experience a meal with company."

He then gestured for you to sit across from him. "Please, feel free to order whatever your heart desires, I'll pay for us both."

You sat on the chair across from him after telling your parents the order. "I'm sure my parents will be happy to know I have a friend I can share their cooking with." You said while setting aside some room for the upcoming plates.

And that was your first unofficial date! From your perspective.

Elio would tell it mostly the same... Except he was sweating and sore everywhere from using his magic to alter his body. And his discomfort only grew after meeting the human with the shiniest aura he's ever seen.

After that "date", Elio put everything into courting you the human way. He would bring you flowers... He picked from the ground so hard that the roots came with the blooms.

Then he tried the dragon way, impressing you with riches. It was nice getting spoiled, but you ended up giving everything up to support your parents' business.

Elio took note of that, so he redirected his spoiling to buy meals from them and whatever they needed.

As your relationship grew, and he opened up more, you learned of his true form. Elio was surprised when you didn't run away.

From that day on, your relationship cemented itself completely into your hearts.

And when your parents caught on? They were thrilled! They made a banquet fit for a whole village, or well, a dragon, to celebrate.

Now, after countless trials with magic, your body has created the fruit of your story together.

And Elio, territorial as ever, keeps you in his sights every second of the day. He wraps his tail around your waist whenever someone gets close to you.

Thankfully for Elio, this look on him makes you fall for him even more.
