God’s Gift
All of us have our own victory in our lives. That was the time that we felt happy and we wanted to treasure those moments in the rest of our lives. Maybe it is the reason of your continuous achievement right now and helps you to have a better life in the future.
In August 2017, I become part of the group that serves our God, which is choir group in our community I felt blessed and happy because I was able to join that group, even if I am not really good in singing. Our choir group attended a Choral Workshop in Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP). They trained us how to sing properly, proper breathing, different types of vocalizations and proper reading of music notes. I felt great because most of the choir members from the other groups in our church wanted to join that kind of workshop but they didn’t have an opportunity to be part of that workshop because of their personal problem. I was lucky because I had that opportunity.
The choral workshop I attended was great, we encountered different types of musicians, choir groups from different cities here in our country. We had a chance to know them individually. We met different types of people from different places and they shared their cultures to us. Their types of living that they have something like that. It was fun because we interacted with each other, we laughed together and we ate together. For me, that was my achievement in life. Because not all of us had that opportunity to interact with different types of personalities of people, I am really happy that time because all of them are kind, generous, caring, approachable, loving and they have sense of humor. Yes, I felt those things because I’m with them for one whole week and I think that’s enough for me to know what kind of people they are.
The highlight of this victory was we are able to perform in front of thousands of audiences in Cultural Center of the Philippines on our gala night, that was the last day of our workshop.
Our trainers and instructors of that workshop are member of Philippine Madrigal Singers. Sir Mark Carpio is the choir master of that group. They joined different types of choral competitions around the world and they always win. They always bring the Philippine flag in every competition and gave us title. I am very lucky because I met them in person, it’s an honor for me to be recognized by them and gave me some inspirational and motivational advises. That was the happiest moment for me for that month and I will treasure that moment for the rest of my life.
I am not just a choir member that time, I am also a servant of God. It is one of the reasons also why I had that opportunity. Because I am his servant, they chose me to participate on that workshop and I prayed for that also. And I am thankful and blessed that God helped me to be part of that workshop and he let me experienced those things that I will treasure and I will be proud of forever. God also proved to me that with his grace and love all things are possible.
