Protagonist is forced to go to a big gnarly monster for help. The monster proves to have the personality of a grumpy but harmless elder, and agrees to help only after much fussing and cajolery. When the time finally comes for it to render the promised assistance, it does so with apocalyptic force, and the protagonist has a little nervous breakdown as they realise “oh, shit, I called that a brat to its face?”.

The alien didn’t look back or turn her head around to see who was approaching. She had some idea that there was someone there, but at the moment she was busy, meditating and getting further in touch with the Ora. Her eyes were closed and the golden orb was mostly concentrated on her hands, spinning sofly as some of it’s particles were rotating around her.

Sona would be ready to defend herself and the substance if needed, but she wouldn’t move unless she really need to. As far as she knew, the stranger approaching was no threat to her at the moment.
