The Web Development website Wix decided to join Adobe in the dark side & change their Terms and conditions to "grant [them] a non-exclusive, transferable, sub-licensable, royalty-free, and worldwide license" to use your portfolio for AI.

This does not only affect artists using this website to make their portfolios and demo reels, but online shop owners, commission pages, art galleries, game development websites and much more.

If you work in the film art or game industry and you have work under NDA or demo reels with your past works from existing film and games. EVEN IF IT'S HIDDEN, PRIVATED OR IN YOUR DRAFTS, they have all the right to steal your work and guess what? You're probably gonna get in trouble instead of wix for having them on your website.

I've used wix for 10 years but fuck them. It's time to jump ship to another website. Please make sure to remove ALL traces of your work from their site and spread the word.

So I’m doing some research about what websites to use for my art portfolio, so my number one choice is WIX however I’m reading that it will not look professional at all and I’m afraid that for work interviews they will not take me serious if they see my portfolio using WIX, should I still use it? :,) (I don’t want to pay for a domain😓)

I really need help with WiX! Anybody here familiar with the platform?

I'm at a new job and our company site has an issue I cannot fix. I really need some help. When you Google search the site, some of the quick links that appear are actually of pages that I have hidden in WiX and for which I have disabled indexing by search engines. I cannot find a way to remedy that. One of the pages for example is our old page displaying the products. Let's say it is named "product list". I have a new page under this name which shows the current valid product list. If you enter the site and choose "product list" from the menu the correct page opens. But the Google search Quick link "product list" links to the old hidden page. I have tried anything and nothing works. PLEASE HEEEEELP!!
