“  merlin give me the strength to sit through this entire assembly.  ”  irene muttered.  she let out a sigh and dipped her quill in the pot of ink before continuing to take notes.  she could hear the faintest quills scratching against the parchment.  just because she thought the assembly was taking  forever,  it didn’t mean that she shouldn’t be taking notes.  and for what seemed like an  ETERNITY,  the talk of potions safety came to a close.  oh how she  wished  she had a time turner.  that way,  her time could be spent elsewhere.

as everyone filed out of the great hall,  she found herself walking beside vera.  “  you know,  as  ‘  informative  ’  as this was.  i think the grease is finally getting to snape.  ”  she adjusted the tie on her hogwarts uniform.

     “ say, maybe you can point me in the right direction. “  monty approached damon, his elbows leaning on the counter.  “ if one wanted to put a birthday announcement on the wireless, who would i speak to about making that happen ? “  to his credit, he was keeping a straight face.  inside, he was all too gleeful;  he could imagine the look on lezekiel’s face when the wireless announced to the world it was his birthday and welcomed everyone to come visit his job and celebrate with him !!  not only was it going to be HILARIOUS for monty,  but it wouldn’t hurt his best mate’s business any either.   really,  it was a win / win.  he knew there was always a chance that lezekiel’s sight could spoil the trick but it was still worth trying.  “ it’s november 13. “

“      alright  !  we’re back at it again in the studio,      ”      damon laughs as he flops onto one of the nearby chairs in his studio.   it only seemed like yesterday when he had claramae on the show with him.  and now,  he was even happier to have his best mate here.  he grabbed the cups of butterbeer sitting on the desk,  a courtesy of the three broomsticks and handed one to jay.  he enjoyed the perks that came with working for the wizarding wireless network.  it was nice.  he was in charge of his own radio show.  and he thought he was fortunate enough to have garnered such a viewership.  even if he didn’t know what in the name of merlin he was doing.      “      it’s pretty cool right  ?      ”

″ do you remember that party after the gryffindor quidditch win in our fifth year ? when someone sneaked in a bottle of beetle berry whiskey ? ″ lulu reminisced while pouring fatima a cup of tea. they had decided to meet for lunch when lulu went up to london that weekend, and so far the encounter had been a massive walk down memory lane. ″ it was only a single bottle, but i swear twenty people claimed they were so drunk that night. just to sound cool. i bet half of them didn't even see the bottle. ″

she’d nearly forgotten about the crisp autumn weather at hogwarts.  then again,  the weather in scotland in her opinion could be a bit  unpredictable.  but she didn’t find herself underdressed.  either way,  a simple heating charm will solve the problem.  the former ravenclaw made a stop at hogsmeade first before making her way up to the castle.  being away for two years  and rarely visiting her alma mater made her miss the sights the school had to offer.  she needn’t forget the times spent in the astronomy tower or the wooden bridge.

alison continued to walk and reminisce.  there wasn’t a specific purpose as to why she was at hogwarts.  she was just feeling a pang of nostalgia.  oh how simple things were back in school.  adulthood was just a dream.  now that it was a reality,  it wasn’t exactly all that  glamorous.  spotting a familiar blonde,  she grinned to herself.      “      hey little cousin,      ”      she grinned,  walking up beside her.

        “ i take my tea with two sugars, thank you. “  esther’s smile was warm as the server nodded. she turned to the wix across from her, fingernails tapping the forgotten saucer.  she’d painted her nails with evanna’s ever-changing nail varnish, their color today a sparkling green reflecting the calm she felt within. this was her favorite tea shop and it was a rare day off from the hustle and bustle of st. mungos.  stress was the furthest thing from her mind.  “ i think i’ll have a croissant too. “ she decided as she flipped through the list of bakery items on hand that day. “ maybe two. “ she felt that she deserved the treat; it had been seven whole months since she’d left her husband.  it was the primary reason her varnish was sparkling green and not ambers or greys ( for anxiety, nervousness, and strain ) she’d rocked for months previous.  “ what about you ?  my treat. “
