I'm still thinking about buying a medal or five hoping to get that "one story that I like." (Maybe on the triple boost) Why does these gold medals have to be so expensive? I can buy a horde of clothes/makeup for it or a week of rice for my family. Lmao #breadwinnerduties

Baker AU - Klaus x Liz drabble

For @donetorhasslichliebe , I was reminded of Klaus and his love of sweets and thought that this would be cute. I changed his personality a bit and he’s kinda like Elias, but sometimes I like him that way. Hope u like it !

Liz tenderly stocked the display cases of her patisserie with brightly coloured sweets and pastries. She was just finishing with the macaroons when she heard the familiar creak of the front door opening. Peeking up from behind the counter she saw a handsome man with blonde hair and striking purple eyes. “Good morning, how can I help you today?” Liz put on her best smile for the customer. “Umm, what do you have thats fresh? I’m being forced to go to a friends baby shower and I need a present” The man smiled back at her. “Oh, I just put out some macaroons, do you think she will like them? I could always pop to the back and put some baby designs on them, if you’d like?” “That would be wonderful, thank you. Can I take 20?” He asked. “Of course, do you know if it’s a boy or a girl?” Liz beamed at him. “It’s a boy. Also, aren’t you a little old to be wearing pigtails?” The man laughed cheekily. “No I am not, I’m only 20. What your name anyway, smartie pants?” Liz grumbled back at him. “It’s Klaus Goldstein. And yours is Liz Hart?” He held one of her business cards he got from the till. “Yes, now how about you help me taking the trays to the back? I don’t have enough arms to take all three at once” Klaus obediently took two trays with him to her kitchen at the back, it was big and clean with no staff present. “No staff?” Klaus questioned. “Oh, I have four others but they’re all on holiday at the moment. Just me today” She smiled at him. Liz got busy and started to decorate the macaroons. They came out beautiful and in six minutes flat. Klaus was impressed. “Hold on, you have a bit of icing sugar on your face” He took a slender hand and softly rubbed at Liz cheek, making her blush. “Oh, thank you. I hope you like them, I’ll take you over to the cash register?” “Oh yes” Klaus struggled to keep down his own blush. Liz took the sweets and the man over to pay and bid farewell. “I hope your friend has a lovely party, wish her good luck” She giggled as she waved at Klaus as he departed. Liz sighed and looked at the clock on the wall. That’s when she was interrupted by the sound of the door again. “Sorry, but can I get your number please?” It was the man again, Klaus Goldstein. His question made Liz blush and stutter. “O-of course. I’ll write i-it down on my business card for you” Liz tried to cover her face. She grabbed a pen and wrote her number on a business card. “Here you go” She whispered, still embarrassed. “Thanks again” Klaus smiled one last time and giggled to himself as he left the store, leaving a rather embarrassed Liz behind.
