I was sick the day of the show. Great, perfect. Now I couldn't ride my darling Monty in the Intermediate class. I was raging in my bed, coughing and screaming in anger, when my dear cousin Nora came to my bed side. 

"Why the hell are you screaming this early in the morning"

"I'm sick, I can't ride today without taking the risk of throwing up during the course."

Nora rubbed her eyes, trying to wake herself up and think. 

"Okay, fine, I'll let Tammy ride Master, and I'll ride Monty and Pearl."

I was upset I couldn't ride Monty, but I did want him to get into this show with a fair chance, since this show was kind of a big deal. 

I sighed "Okay, all of his tack and grooming stuff is all packed and waiting in the office."

"Fine, I'll see you in a bit." Nora nodded and sulked off. I know she had been excited to ride Master, but I was thankful she chose to ride Monty instead, since Tammy wouldn't be able to handle the big stallion and the rule was one rider could ride two horses, but the rider could only enter in two separate classes, Monty and Master were in the same class.

"Okay Monty, this is it." Nora whispered to the excited stallion. He pawed at the ground and pranced, obviously anxious to get the course over with. Nora urged the stallion through the gates. 

"Now entering in the Intermediate Class, Nora Coleman riding CE Afacan"

Nora rode in a circle before gathering her courage and pushed the stallion towards the first jump. Monty cantered eagerly at the first jump and Nora timed her approach perfectly, clearing the jump with ease.
