Finally I can post some of these pics from Belfast and Derry, and at home... Good job Cohort4! We all made it, as a team. Thank you to everybody who helped us in preparing for the OSCEs! 😘 #UKRN #Cohort4 #WLMHT #100% 📸 Some from Bryan, Gab and Tia (at Derry/ Londonderry, Northern Ireland, Uk) https://www.instagram.com/p/B34F2rBFpcM/?igshid=1hw3zza78pcph

Not sure if this is something you'll know about, but I live in West London and I've had my referral to WLMHT adult services 'rejected' because I'm being seen by CHX. My GP has found a potential other service for me but was I really meant to have been turned down like this?
I’ve never heard of this happening before, and don’t think it should have done. I’m certainly no expert in NHS organisation, but my understanding is that Charing Cross is a ‘tertiary’ or specialist service, commissioned separately from mental health services. After all, people living elsewhere in the country can still access mental health services in addition to seeing a GIC! I would suggest you get in contact with PALS (the patient advice and liaison service) - they may be able to figure out what’s going on and why whoever made this decision did so. Unfortunately, some mental health services seem to think that GICs are basically the same thing as them, which isn’t true at all - they are entirely separate, as described in the diagram below, reproduced from here:
I hope this helps!
