everyone likes to romanticize long distance relationships but what they don’t talk about is the frustration at loving her but being unable to hold her and the sadness that sometimes overtakes you when you’re missing her a little extra in the middle of the day

I think that one of the most important things for people to learn in a relationship is the necessary independence that both of you have to have. I love my girlfriend but each of us having time to ourselves is what makes us able to grow and learn to love each other even better
