1) ok so every time you tag me in "We make our on fate" I'd like and reblog because I know you're a great writer but I didn't read a single chapter until the final one came out. I finally got to this fic and I don't think I have enough words to tell you how much I loved and enjoyed every second of reading it! everything about was perfect; characterization, how you made dialog from WSR or OUAT fit perfectly... I didn't have to make an effort to imagine the story in my mind's eye.

2) I like it when a writer is able to make love or hate a character because they make them as real as possible and you've done just that, something not everyone is good at. thank you for your hard work and dedication to bring joy to our live (well at least mine) I'm always excited whenever you post something new! lots of love!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️😘

I don’t think I have enough words to express how much I appreciate this. Actually, I’m not sure I have any words at all. This has left me a little speechless.

I honestly wasn’t sure if people would actually want to read it, given the film and the fact that I was putting Eloise/Gothel and Alice in it, which can be rather polarizing for some. The response has been more than I could have imagined and I cannot thank y’all enough. And thank you for reblogging each update even though you weren’t reading it yet! I can’t believe you did that, but I appreciate it so much!

Six Sentence Sunday - WMOOF

From the upcoming Chapter 11 of We Make Our Own Fate:  

At first, Emma had no way of knowing if she were headed in the right direction, until she found a number of sticky, jelly covered bits of bread littering on the ground.

Actual breadcrumbs, Emma huffed with affectionate amusement. She and Killian had told Alice that it would be a good idea to have some provisions packed away in her satchel, just in case they couldn’t return to the village right away. They had decided against telling her of the escape plan, not wishing to burden her with the secret or the knowledge that she’d be leaving her mother behind. All she knew was the plan to keep the women and children safe out on the lake until the threat of the Berserkers had been neutralized. Based on the remnants Emma had found during her search, it seemed Alice had chosen to sustain herself on sandwiches of orange marmalade while she waited for the danger to pass.

For the plot twist asks, how would they react if the characters started to believe eloise was their lord and savior because of some miracle she performed, to the point where even alice and Emma are questioning?

Plot twist for We Make Our Own Fate

The way I see this playing out is, soon after Emma gets to the village and Killian tells her everything, Alice starts mysteriously getting better, culminating with Eloise urging her outside, performing a miracle of healing over her that stuns and awes the village. The first time Emma goes toe to toe with Eloise, or Killian stands up to her, Alice gets sick once again and Eloise declares their (Killian and Emma’s) faith to be untrue, and the cause of Alice’s sickness. The villagers demand Emma leave, not wanting her lack of faith to negatively impact the entire community.

Killian is torn. He can’t bring himself to leave Alice behind, but he doesn’t trust Eloise to not send someone after Emma, to harm her once she’s left the village, so he goes with her into exile. Now they have to work from the outside to find a way to get Alice out, but Alice is afraid to leave because she believes her mother is the source of her healing.

I don’t think Emma would ever fall for Eloise as some sort of miracle worker. She reads people too well, and can clearly see the trauma she subjected Killian to. 

I would eliminate the Berserker angle I’m currently working, but weave in the whistling as a way Killian and Alice have always communicated since Eloise separated them. This would be how Killian would stay in contact with her after he and Emma leave the community.

Send me a plot twist for one of my fics and I’ll tell you how I would write it.

Thank you for that comment! I’m so happy you enjoyed it. I had hoped to wrap it all up with Chapter 10, but once I got to the point where I ended the chapter, I realized the thing would have been a monster in word count. (And yes, I know some of you wouldn’t have minded, but... too bad!) So, now we’ve got one chapter left and I’m hoping to get it to y’all before Thanksgiving.

Jo Jo Rabbit was fantastic? Good to know! I rarely get the chance to see movies in the theatre, but that was one I was thinking of trying to see. Usually I wait for Redbox or for it to become available on streaming, but I think both my husband and me would like it, so maybe next date night??
