➜ summary: paige feeds into your taco bell obsession and addiction
➜ pairing: paige bueckers x gf (who loves taco bell)
➜ warnings: taco bell
➜ authors note: taco bell. anyhoo, i’m doing this based on what job I have because idk how to do any other jobs 🤗 anyways enjoy!!
➜ job description: basically just working on the second floor where the cats and dogs are, interacting with guests, and assisting with adoptions. front desk entails greeting people and taking phone calls
about thirty minutes later, you decided to take your lunch break. you stopped to pet some of the kittens and headed down to the front desk to sit with one of your coworkers.
you took a phone call and chatted with your coworker before hearing the front door open. ‘great’, you thought. the front was almost ALWAYS quiet at this hour.
much to your surprise, when you looked up, you saw paige, standing there in her 6’1 glory holding a bag of taco bell and a large baja blast.
she smiled at the look of surprise on your face, nodding her head, “wassup ma.” you told your coworker something about being back after your lunch and went with paige outside.
“did you deadass bring me taco bell?” you asked, holding her arm as you walked to a nearby park. “yeah, and what about it?” she retorted, her sassiness coming out in her voice.
you rolled your eyes with a big smile on your face, “you know you didn’t have to, right? like i was just being mad dramatic.” “i wanted to.” she shrugged nonchalantly and kissed your cheek as you started eating.
after finishing your food (with paige stealing some) and talking about your day so far, she walked you back to your workplace.
“i. love. you.” she murmured, kissing your cheeks and nose in between each word. “and i love you,” you responded. “you’re ridiculous though. bringing me taco bell in the middle of the day.”
“you’re welcome.” she winked and left, leaving you wondering how you got such a wonderful and loving girlfriend.
Summary: Despite wanting to keep your feelings a secret, your fellows counselors at Hackett's Quarry won't let that slide...
Part of my flufftober series(day 1) :]
A/N: just realized(remembered) that um the Quarry takes place during the summer... but we are going act like it doesn't, it's Autumn in this. Summer doesn't even exist- what is Summer?
And yes, I ship Dylan and Ryan, in my heart Ryan didn't ghost him... like at all.
Tags - @canniballilies
You had just gotten the campers to sleep, you and the rest of the counselors were wide awake and bored as hell.
Dylan suggested they sit around the campfire and have a few drinks, there wasn't a single argument for that.
You sat in between Ryan and Kaitlyn, whose been giving you not-so-subtle glances whenever you take a swig of your beer and glances at Paige.
You adjusted your sweater for the millionth time before Emma spoke up.
"We should play truth or dare." Emma nodded whilst everyone else murmured out agreements.
"Okay, Abigail you go first. Truth or dare."
Abigail, the timid artist was surprised she was picked first. "Um, truth."
"What was the first drawing you ever drew?" You asked.
"Oh, um, probably a rainbow or something when I was six maybe." Abigail nervously chuckled.
The others chuckled in response to that.
"Ryan, truth or dare." Paige spoke up.
"Dare." Ryan answered.
"Hm, then I dare you to either kiss Dylan or... Kaitlyn." Emma shrugged.
"Alright," Ryan smirked. "Dylan, let's smooch."
"Did he seriously just say smooch?" Paige muttered under her breath.
Ryan walked over to Dylan and kissed him, everyone cheering on at the action.
You looked over at Paige, your eyes tracing from her lips to her jawline. Memorizing every angle, every inch of her face. Determined to never forget it.
"I need a refill-" You blurted out, covering your mouth and immediately walked to the kitchen.
Nick nodded. "Hey, Paige you should definitely check on her."
Paige glanced at Nick before listening to the Aussie and followed you to the kitchen.
Once she left, the others looked at eachother.
Jacob spoke up. "Ten bucks they confess and make out."
"And ten when they don't," Emma rolled her eyes. "They've been like this since the beginning of camp. It's getting old."
"People need time to get around this sort of thing, not everyone is a social magnet like you Emma." Kaitlyn snorted.
Meanwhile in the kitchen, you never actually finished your beer and was pouring it down the sink.
Paige knocked on the door and walked in.
"Everything alright?" Paige asked.
"Yep." You nodded. "Feeling peachy."
Paige nodded slowly. "Alright... truth or dare?"
You glanced at Paige like she had two heads. "Right now?"
"Right now. Truth or dare?" Paige shrugged.
"Truth," You sighed.
"Why'd you run away back there?" She asked.
Your breath hitched at the back of your throat, of course she would ask that.
You looked at her. "Because I panicked. Your turn, truth or dare."
You could tell she wanted to know more but you weren't letting her have it. "Truth."
"Why did you come after me?" You questioned.
"Nick suggested I should," She answered honestly. "...and because I care about you."
It was only then you realized how close the two of you were.
"Paige," You trailed off.
"I know, You don't have to say it, I know." She moved a strand of hair away from your face, her knuckles brushed against your cheek. "If you don't want this, say the word."
"No, I definitely want this, I want you." You nodded.
That was all Paige needed before she leaned in and kissed you like her life depended on it.
The kiss was full of longing and yearning, somehow became more passionate as the kiss grew on and on.
The two of you shamelessly made out in the kitchen, Paige's hands touching places no one else dared to.
Unaware of the eyes on you two outside.
Jacob chuckled and danced around the campfire. "Haha, pay up Emma!"
"Whatever," Emma rolled her eyes as she sipped on her beer. Though her smile did soften(slightly) when she saw you two.
ok weird request but could you write about emily letting her hair down for the first time in front of reader :)
:¨ ·.· ¨: 「emily engstler」
`· . 𐙚wear it downˎˊ˗
pairing: emily engstler x reader
word count: 0.3k
a/n: hey sorry this is so bad but I’m really just trying to get through requests and organize my life i can’t even lie
You love Emily’s hair, absolutely adore it.
Whether it was in a ponytail, braids, or loose.
Though, you’d never seen it loose.
So when—after two weeks of dating—she invited you to spend the night at hers, how could you say no?
⋅ ⋅ ⋅ ─ ⋅ ⋅ ⋅ ──── ♡ ─── ⋅ ⋅ ⋅ ── ⋅ ⋅ ⋅
“Hey, you got everything?” Emily asks when you show up at hers, backpack on.
You nod, already blushing too hard to speak after just three seconds of seeing your girlfriend.
Emily chuckles, gesturing for you to come in.
“You can put your bag on the bed,” she says, so you do.
“…What did you wanna do first?” You whisper awkwardly after a tense moment of silence.
“Well,” Emily says, her voice dropping lower as she walks close enough to brush your hair behind your ear. “Basketballs been busy, I haven’t seen you in a while, I was hoping to… make it up to you?”
You turn tomato red, nodding eagerly as you look up at her.
Emily grins, cupping your face and pulling you in for a soft kiss. Your lips mold against each others as she backs you onto the couch, until she lands on top of your lap.
Your hands tug on her ponytail accidentally when you try to pull her closer, and you quickly try to pull away to apologize.
But quickly decide against it when you notice Emily’s reaction, the whine that slipped past her mouth and into yours, the way she kissed harder.
Instead, you opt to gently tug the elastic holding her hair up, a silent ask for permission.
Emily nods quickly when she realizes what you want, pulling away to let her hair down.
You take it in, the frizz, how it’s so cared for yet so messy, the way it frames her face, everything.
“You good, baby?” Emily asks when she sees how you’ve apparently zoned out, staring at her hair.
You nod slowly, reluctantly pulling your gaze away to her eyes. “Yeah, just, never seen you with your hair down before,” you mumble, gently playing with a strand. “I like it.”
The girl on top of you smiles, leaning in until her lips brush yours. “Maybe I’ll start wearing it down more often then…” she whispers, before kissing you again.

It was a friday night, you just got off work only to realize that your cat taffy had somehow mange to. Escape your apartment through the broken window net that you had kept putting off to fix.
Which brought you into a state of panic because that your emotional support and baby. Tears were falling out of your eyes as you called out to her.
“Taffy where are you taffy”. You looked around your studio living area, thinking she was just hiding around the corner because this wasn’t a first time thing for that little menace.
Your hand was shaking so hard because your mind was only taking you to worst case scenario. That was when you noticed that your strawberry jam was shattered on the ground and you immediately ran out from your backyard.
You weren’t thinking straight, and was going through any pilie on the streets. That’s when you had made it to the park around your neighborhood. You instantly fell onto the harsh ground.
One hand running through your Afro as you started crying hard.
You sat on the floor in the far corner until you noticed a tall figure in the dark that looked like they were hurting something.
You were already sad having to go through losing your companion, but the thought of someone hurting an animal just made you get even more upset.
Getting up from where you sat, you ran off pushing the person off the poor fur baby, only to realize it was your baby taffy laying in agony from whatever this stanger did to her.
You quickly turned around grab the person by the collar of their shirt yelling at them. “ WHAT THE HECK IS WRONG WITH YOU HOW COULD YOU DO SOMETHING LIKE THIS”. Not even giving them a chance to explain
It took you a while to calm down after the random stranger had to put her over your mouth and grab you by your hand to explain what actually happened.
Turns out she was just trying to help out taffy cause she had saw her laying on the ground crying in pain from the thorns, in the rose bush in the park and all she was trying to do was get the thorns out from her paw.
Which only got you sobbing harder than before cause you almost assaulted the person that was just trying to help out your baby.
“Are you good now”. Asked the random woman
“I’m fine thank you very much I thought that I had lost her she means the world to me”. You said carrying taffy in your arms
“Don’t worry about it, I also have a cat so I would’ve probably had the same reaction as you”. She said
“I’m really sorry about this whole incident”. You told her not even looking up as you petted taffy.
“I could drive you to the vet cause I don’t really know how long she’s been laying there hurt, that’s if you don’t mind?”. She said
“Really I would appreciate that so much”. You said, on the way to the vet you happened to learn that the stranger name was gabby and she was just in town strolling because she had a basketball game and she only came out for a breeze before the left and that’s when she had discovered taffy.
From that day forward you not only gain a girlfriend but two fur babies.
"Flight DL329 is now boarding to O'Hare." You hear throughout the airport as you rush through the crowd of people trying to reach your gate. You had hit horrible traffic in the city despite leaving early. Out of breath, you reach the last of the remaining line, feeling a bit calmer, seeing that you weren't the last passenger. "Boarding ticket miss?" The older gate agent smiled at you. You smile back lightly, out of breath still and hand him the boarding ticket.
The man scans the ticket and hands it back to you. "Enjoy your flight, Miss. Y/L/N." He nods. "Thanks!" You politely smile, and you head towards the plane. You find your seat and sit down next to a lady who was probably around your mom's age. The seat in the middle was empty, which you mentally praised.
You settled into the seat, putting your bag on the floor and strapping yourself in. Quickly, you send a text to your friend Hailey.
You: Made it on the plane! See you in three hours 🤪
HVL 🏀: Thank God! Text me when you land so I can head out. Have a safe flight 😘
You knew not to overthink the blowing kiss emoji, but it created butterflies. You have always had a small crush on Hailey. You two met at LSU while you were finishing your graduate degree and remained good friends throughout the years. You followed her basketball career and supported her in every way you could.
During those years, you slowly noticed that you had developed a crush on her. Not only was she just breathtakingly beautiful, but she was kind, smart, and talented. Being around her brought out the best in you, and you were filled with excitement to see her.
❥❥❥❥❥❥❥❥❥❥❥❥❥❥❥
You felt someone lightly tapping your shoulder, which pulled you out of your sleep. You look beside you to see the lady who was next to you with a polite smile on her face, looking at you. "Sorry to wake you, but we're about to land and thought you might appreciate me telling you so you can throw away any trash and pack your things." She says. "Oh! Thank you." You smile at her, doing just that as we descend. You checked the time on your phone and saw it was 12:25 AM. Right on time.
As soon as you landed, you texted Hailey, and quickly she said she was on her way. You were still feeling giddy about seeing her. You hadn't seen her since last year, between you starting a new job and her getting drafted to the WNBA.
You get off the plane and head to baggage claim, the airport being quite empty and quiet. The only things open were coffee shops and a McDonald's. You quickly made your way to baggage claim, which felt like an eternity with how huge the airport was.
Grabbing your heavy luggage, you made your way outside to wait for Hailey. The weather has been a bit chilly since it was October, and nonetheless, the windy city. After about 10 minutes, I see Hailey pull up in her BMW.
"You're finally here!!" She squeals as she runs out of the car after parking it and running straight towards you to hug. As soon as you felt her arms around you, you felt like you could melt.
"Feels like forever!" You smile, hugging her back. Letting go of each other, Hailey pops the trunk on her car and, with ease, puts in your luggage. Impressed that she threw it in there with no trouble.
"Okay muscles." You half joke and half flirt. Hailey playfully winks at you before we get in her warm car.
"Thank you for picking me up this late, by the way. I was so pissed when the airline changed my flight from 4 to 8 PM." You shake your head, sending a text to your mom that you made it safely to Chicago.
"I don't mind at all, and you almost missed this flight. Imagine trying to make the 4 PM one?" She chuckles.
"That accident wasn't even that bad for the traffic it caused in Portland; it was a fender bender." You shake your head.
"Well, on the bright side, it's late enough that there is minimal traffic here in Chicago. If not, it would have taken me who knows how long to get here and to get back home." She smiles.
"How come you came by yourself? I would have thought Nick would have come with you." You ask, noticing her boyfriend wasn't here.
Hailey seemed to get a bit hesitant as I mentioned him, as if trying to find the right way to tell me something. You look at her, starting to feel confused by her hesitation.
"Everything okay?" You ask her softly.
"We uh, broke up. Like a month ago." She says, biting her lip.
"I'm sorry to hear that. I had no idea." You respond, not knowing how to feel about the situation. On one hand, you felt for your best friend, but on the other hand, you were sort of glad because he was never the best boyfriend to her.
"Trust me, don't be. I ended things."
Your head snaps to her, caught off guard by her response. Part of you wants to push on the matter, figure out what happened, but you didn't want to touch on fresh wounds.
"Well, you have me all week to forget all about that. We can go get our nails done, go shopping, go bar hopping, go to the movies, whatever you want." You smile. Hailey smiles back as she drives.
"Oh, we're totally going out and having fun." She chuckles.
❥❥❥❥❥❥❥❥❥❥❥❥❥❥❥
The first few days with Hailey were great. You guys caught up, went out to lunch or dinner every day, watched movies, and went shopping. It felt like your college days again, and it wasn't helping at all with the crush you had on her.
"Hey, why don't we go out tonight?" Hailey says as you two finish up some takeout.
"Yeah? What did you have in mind? A Bar?" You ask as you throw away an empty plastic container of food in her recycling bin.
"Yeah, we can go to Nobody's Darling." Hailey smiles.
"Wait...isn't that a lesbian bar?" You ask about it because your friend in Maine told you all about it.
"It is, some of the girls on the team go there, so I thought we could check it out." Hailey says with a hint of nervousness in her voice.
"Yeah, ok, that sounds fun! Let me go get ready." You smile, heading to her guest room where you had been sleeping the last few nights. You put on some music on your phone on shuffle, and immediately the song Girls Like Girls by Hayley Kiyoko came on.
"Of course." You mutter to yourself at the irony of that song coming on.
After about 45 minutes getting ready, you were done wearing a denim jeans, a black long-sleeved bodysuit, a long leather trench coat, and some pointy-toed, kitten-heeled type of black shoe. You spritz your favorite perfume on yourself and grab your black clutch, heading to the kitchen to pre-hydrate yourself before the drinking that's about to take place.
Hailey comes out of her room looking jaw-dropping. She had on a red long-sleeved satin dress that stopped right under her butt and hugged her curves perfectly with some heels.
"You look amazing." You say to each other in unison. You felt yourself going red as Hailey smiled at you.
"I ordered a car for us, it should be here any minute." Hailey informs you. You not being able to stop staring at her beauty.
"We can head down to the lobby, though I suggest putting a coat over that lovely dress. It's 32 degrees outside and windy." The protectiveness you always had over her shines through.
"Good idea." Hailey grabs a black long trench coat and ties it around her waist before grabbing her small purse and leading the way out of the apartment.
❥❥❥❥❥❥❥❥❥❥❥❥❥❥❥
The bar was nice, dark, and cozy with a live band playing a great number of songs. It was packed, but not to a point where you couldn't walk or hear a conversation with people. Hailey and you sat in a nook with a small round table facing the small stage set up.
"That woman over there keeps looking at you." Hailey says to you as she scoots in closer. You look over to see a pretty woman with long braids giving you a flirty smile. You politely smile back even though you weren't interested. You look over at Hailey, who was giving the woman the stink eye.
"Why are you looking at her like that?" You chuckle, taking a sip of your espresso martini.
"Like how?" Hailey looks over at you, her expression immediately changing.
"Like you want to fight her."
"Am not." She scoffs.
"Sure..."
Hailey orders another round of drinks, but this time she gets us some beers.
"Beers?" How masc of you." You joke.
"Random question, are those the type of girls you're into? I know some feminine lesbians prefer it." Hailey asks her questions, kind of taking you off guard.
"I don't really have a preference. I just like who I like." You shrug.
"Are you seeing anyone? Is that why you don't go talk to that woman who keeps looking your way?"
"Nope. I've been single since college with a few hook-ups here and there, but I've always had my eyes set on someone else. Which is dumb of me." You admit. You knew this was the liquor talking. A waitress brings over the drinks, and Hailey tips her as we both thank her.
"Why is it dumb of you?" Hailey asks before sipping her beer.
"I know she doesn't feel the same way." You shrug, sipping your own beer.
"She's in a relationship?"
"Used to be, but she isn't into girls." You look at Hailey in a way you'd hope she got the hint. Realization sets in, and a look of shock plays upon her gorgeous face. Her blue eyes scan your face.
"Maybe... she is into girls." Hailey says, a smile creeping on her face. The song Fade Into You starts playing, and Hailey gets up, asking the table next to us if they'd watch our drinks and purses. The older lesbian couple gladly agrees.
"May I have this dance?" Hailey reaches her hand out to you, and you take it as she leads you to where everyone else is starting to dance.
You too get close and personal, Hailey wrapping her arms around your waist and you draping your arms over her shoulder. Dancing while looking at each other in the eyes, getting lost in them.
"I wish you had told me how you felt," Hailey whispers.
"It was never the right time, you moving schools, focusing on basketball, dating Nick, and me starting my career...plus the draft. It was just not something I wanted to add to your plate. Also, I didn't want to ruin our friendship. Our friendship means everything to me. Losing you would have destroyed me." You admit, Hailey's eyes getting glossy.
Hailey then leans in and kisses you. Butterflies erupt within you, and you melt into lips. Tasting the beer, but mostly the wine she had. Not caring that both your lip glosses were getting smeared.
"I can't believe you just kissed me with espresso breath." You joke, making Hailey laugh and lean her forehead against yours as she gently squeezes your sides, sharing another intimate moment.
"Let's pay the tab and get out of here. Tonight you're sleeping in my bed."
Note: Thank you so much for reading! This is my first proper wlw fic so sorry if I'm a bit rusty! Let me know if you want a second part to this 🖤
Kate Martin X fem!actress!reader where Kate is invited to be one of the main characters in Netflix's new lesbian romance. At first, she and the reader don't get along very well, as the reader doesn't like the idea of casting a basketball player as her romantic partner instead of a professional actress. However, she doesn't know that Kate auditioned before being accepted and, although it may not seem like it, she greatly respects this profession. (not so slow burn 👀)
Professionalism Clashes
Summary: Kate Martin, a wnba player meets you, an upcoming actress. And the two of you team up to star in a lesbian romance. Doesn't make you less wary of her though.
A/N: I hope I did this justice ngl- I'm really bad at writing enemies to lovers(or at least I like to think so) the characters they play are in college I would say and reader's character almost was a cheerleader but I changed it cause I'm a band kid that never got to be drum major so- but it won't be mentioned much so don't worry.
As of writing this author's note I am very tired but I'm not declaring sleep yet. And as of rn, including this one I have 3 requests(including this one) to write and it's October as I'm writing this which means I'm in the middle of flufftober *sigh* I have a feeling though these requests will be easier to write so maybe when I'm nearly done with flufftober I can open my requests again :]
Kate Martin. Who did she think she was just showing up out of nowhere during the wnba off season? You watched as she got her makeup touched up.
Geez, did I really have to kiss her like my life depended on it? Cause it doesn't. You sighed.
The irony of it all being that her character also plays basketball.
And yours well... the drum major in the marching band. It wasn't necessarily bad but it wasn't necessarily good either.
"Hey, you ready?" Kate asked.
"Better than ever." You fake-smiled.
"Action," The director called out.
"You know what I think about you? I think you're a gigantic moron with an ego that's four times your size. And I've seen you play, you're always gloating and trash talking when you barely make the hoop." You grunted.
And to your annoyance, Kate just grins.
"Cut!" The director called you over.
Then you were ultimately given the worst news of your life... you had to spend the whole day with Kate Martin. No way in hell were you doing that... but you did need the paycheck.
That's how you found yourself walking down the street, with a coffee in hand alongside your on-screen partner.
"There's a zoo down there, I think. We could go there." Kate suggested.
You nodded. "We could... should. We will."
The two of you headed to the zoo and to your surprise, Kate paid for the two of you.
The two of you walked around, taking note of the penguins waddling to the giraffes and their huge touches.
It was the conversation the two of you shared that really got to you.
"How do you stay so... composed all the time?" Kate asked. "I remember I was so nervous during auditions."
You glanced at her. "You auditioned?" You mentally cringed at that, you didn't mean to sound rude.
The tone in your voice said otherwise and if Kate noticed she didn't say anything.
"Yeah, I was in a high school play and realized how much I loved acting." Kate shrugged and continued walking. "Basketball means more to me though but it felt nice to be able to rediscover what you once loved."
"Right." You nodded. "Well that's nice to hear. And to answer your question, I get nervous all the time when I'm acting."
Kate looked at you in surprise. "You do?"
You chuckled. "Yeah, been doing it for years but it still hits a nerve. Especially performing live."
"Can't afford any mistakes." Kate nodded in agreement.
You ran your fingers through your hair. "Call me a jerk but I had no idea you auditioned. Hated you because of it."
Kate shrugged. "Eh, it's fine. I would have hated me too if I was in your shoes."
"No, I definitely judged your book by your cover." You shook your head.
Kate glanced at you. "People judge me all the time, trust me I don't mind."
You nodded slowly to her words. "How can I make it up to you then?"
"You can start by being a bit nicer but that's definitely not happening." Kate snorts. "Come to a game."
You looked at Kate as if she had two heads. "You want me to come to one of your games?"
Kate nodded. "Preseason games are coming up soon. What kind of 'girlfriend' would you be if you didn't show up?"
You felt your heart flutter to her teasing.
"One game." You told her. "And that's it."
Kate smirked. "I'll be on my best behavior then."
In the upcoming months, you and Kate have gotten to know eachother more and more on a personal level.
One game turned into two and two turned into four and suddenly, you couldn't stop coming to her games.
Which led to the rumors of the two of you dating, neither of you confirmed or denied and when filming wrapped the two of you would always be with eachother.
"Did you hear? We might be getting a season two." Kate's voice rang out of your phone.
"Season two?" You asked
Kate nodded. "Mhm. Guess people love seeing us together."
You corrected. "People love seeing you."
Kate rolled her eyes. "Then they can come to one of my games. And stream our show."
You chuckled. "Speaking of games, I'm coming to yours and I may or may not be wearing your jersey to the game."
Kate felt her cheeks flush slightly before clearing her throat.
"You gonna wear my jersey?" She asked.
You nodded. "Of course, I wanna support you and the valkyries colors go so well together."
Couple of hours later, you found yourself waiting by the locker room.
Kate walked up to you, after getting a misconduct for fighting she wasn't necessarily in a good mood.
You didn't get to say anything before she pressed her lips against yours. You, immediately reciprocated.
"Cmon," Kate murmured. "Let's go home."
"You wanna cuddle?" You asked softly.
Kate nodded.
"Okay, we can do that." You said. "Next time though, if you're gonna kiss me cause you're all possessive warn me first." You joked.
Kate's lips quirked up into a small smile. "Oh, I definitely will."
