do you think you'll write from zuko's pov at any point? did you have a reason to write mainly from sokka's pov or did it just kinda happen that way?

1) hakoda falling asleep next to his son and then waking up not next to his son and probably not liking that
2) jet seeing with his own two eyes that the boys are more than friends and more than likely going a little apeshit about it
3) zuko's awake now? he can talk to swt people? (or sit in the corner and glare)
4) sokka n zuko hearing the 'rumor' that zhao is dead
5) shen just not having it/reho revealing too much/ara losing her goddamn mind
6) hakoda's thoughts of "ohh dont worry my son is very much loyal to our tribe!!" getting a little more awkward when he discovers sokka would definitely stab a swt member or two, or even end the entire world to keep zuko safe
7) iroh?? ba sing se???? the gaang???????
Ahhh the Zuko POV question… I can honestly say I will probably never write a Zuko POV. It’s not that I don’t WANT to write it, it’s simply because we have gone this far without it… and it would feel slightly invasive to do it now.
I started off writing from Sokka’s POV because Zuko wasn’t even in the story until like chapter 4 or 5 lol. But I don’t think I ever really intended to write from Zuko’s mindset because I always enjoyed fics where Sokka was the narrator…
At this point, we have been with Sokka from the beginning, and we have experienced him slowly break down from the first chapter until now… We have been apart of every thought he has had throughout LIAB. We were introduced to Zuko slowly, and even after he became a constant in the story, as a character he had already experienced so much.
I feel if I were to expose you to a Zuko POV it’d be like throwing y’all into freezing water. It’d be disorienting, unorganized, and probably really really dark. So at this point I think it’s best if we leave Zuko’s mind to himself and we continue to learn about his thoughts & feelings through Sokka & others.
I’m sorry if it’s disappointing but I just think it’s for the best <3
