Detour to Chinatown to surprise Dad with #WoHop dinner. Don’t think I’ve been down here since before the pandemic? (at Chinatown) https://www.instagram.com/p/Cas7TkPpyIt/?utm_medium=tumblr
Wo Hop Restaurant, 6"x9", Watercolor and pencil on Fabriano watercolor paper, 2021. Wo Hop is the second oldest Chinese restaurant in Manhattan's Chinatown (after Nom Wah Tea Parlor) and has been open since 1938 and is a 3rd generation family-owned business. This place rocks!

9.24.21 Lunchtime drawing: Wo Hop Restaurant is the second oldest restaurant in Manhattan's Chinatown since 1938 and 3rd generation family-owned! By the way, if you find a size no. 1 watercolor paintbrush with a green handle on the ground outside on Mott Street, it's mine, I lost it at the end of my Instagram Live recording of making this painting! Check out the IGTV session if you haven't already. Also, turned on to this restaurant by a recent photo by James and Karla Murray.
