Dragon Wine

In my most recent post I mentioned the famous quote from Game of Thrones tv series ‘Winter is coming..’ Anyone who has watched that show or lives with someone who watched that show knows what the term means. For all you non Dungeons and Dragons people, It means the dead people (long story) are coming from the North. And not those neighbors we are talking about but actually re risen dead people. Zombie like. It’s not worth retelling because two years removed from the last season, I actually don’t remember the reasoning. But in 2022, a new prequel to the Game of Thrones franchise (theme park ride soon...) released with the lovely Christian title of House of the Dragon. Again, this is not a reference to the new neighbors but the certain GOT family who can ride, talk and tame dragons. Yes actually dragons. And where, do tell am I going with this. In my second Christmas packaging gift giving ideas, Wolf Blass wine has come out with a special edition cabernet sauvignon shiraz blend featuring the House of the Dragon tv show.

I have to admit, picking up a bottle and looking at the label, I was quite impressed with the packaging. Something cool about it. I think if a Game of Thrones fan were out there and not familiar with Wolf Blass, it would be kind of a cool gift. I can see it now.

Linda is happy with the bottle and the thought that went along with it. Marsha hands over her banana bread unsure if she’ll see it served after dinner.

Back to reality or what we know of reality, I know this is not a wine blog but I honestly thought this would make a good gift. A secret Santa, a kris kringle or as a gift when invited to a dinner party. Linda like it so why not.
