Song of the Day. Courtesy of The Ceremonies. #wolfdance #theceremoniesep #theceremonies #markcook #michaelcook #matthewcook #thebrotherscook
In this song, I wanted to draw a parallel between the nature of the 'feral child' and the colloquial 'wild child' that we speak of today. The contemporary wild child, who is overly indulgent in its social nightlife, suffers from an inherent pressure to conform. This puts them in an inherently precarious position that becomes a part of their everyday mentality and makeup. The song discusses the natural tendency for an allegorical wild animal (or more specifically, lone wolf—yearning for a pack) to appear stunning and harmless yet be unnecessarily pugnacious. It is a song of innocence read by a child attempting to cope with an unstable concept that is too foreign for them to grasp.
