The Ceremonies - Ballroom Bones | Sofar Los Angel…:
The Ceremonies on Fearless Radio
Missed the Ceremonies on Fearless Radio on February 24th (cause we did)? You can still check out the quick interview and find out what they're parents wanted them to become, their attempt on the Scottish accent, and more. Also, there is a stripped-down performance they did for Ballroom Bones and Land of Gathering and you can check all that out right here.
Ballroom Bones // The Ceremonies
I can't take it when you rattle my bones, But you're locked in a a cage with me. And you can't stand it when you're all alone, But you've gone and thrown away the key.
The moonshine's dripping from the white of your eye, But your lips are too scared to speak. The whisper's singing you a lullaby, But it can't put you to sleep.
It's just damn good, all right?
We had the pleasure of taping an ALLSAINTS LA SESSION stripped down acoustic performance. Check out 'Ballroom Bones'
Specifically, it is a song about being affected indirectly by someone struggling with addiction. Whether it's emotional or physical, sometimes addiction affects the people that surround it just as much as it does the user. Unfortunately, the people who are dependent are usually the worst at seeing how reliant they are. When dealing with that, introspection simultaneously becomes one’s own best friend and foe.
