My favorite part of the "are video games art" debate is Wolfenstein's troubled distribution in Germany. Because the exception to their anti-swakstia law is for "art and education", with no specific exception for anti-nazism. While in more serious matters, this has been used to hurt anti-fascists with patches depicting things like a swastika being thrown in the trash, it meant the publishers had to prove that their game was art (hard) rather than just that it was anti-nazi (easy).
If wolfenstein has taught me anything, it's that there are few joys greater than murdering a nazi, but murdering an aristocratic nazi officer who wears a monocle is definitely one of them.

It's a shooter that does get very violent at times, as they are wont to do, but as far as shooters go, this is a pretty entertaining one. I'm not sure why using the iron sights makes it HARDER for me to shoot, but I like the mechanics where the more you use and excel at a playstyle, the better you get at it through unlocking perks. stealth, single gun, double gun, and explosives are the four paths and while I like to say I play stealth, my perks would say otherwise. Be on the lookout for the other Wolfenstein games on this channel in the future. William J. Blaskowitz is out for blood, and honestly, who doesn't enjoy killing Nazis?
