Oftentimes, she wondered how she and Arya were even RELATED to begin with. They were like light and day in CONTRAST-- she liked pretty, delicate things, while she was brash and liked things that Robb, Theon, Bran and Jon would be INTERESTED in-- like archery and sword fighting. She sat knitting, her needle delicately weaving through the fabric as she stole a glance at her dark-haired sister, watching her technique for a few moments. “Your THREAD isn’t long enough, Arya,” she corrected softly. “-- you will have to knot it in the back and considering how you do it, it will end up in CREASES and Septa Mordane will only have you do it over.”

your portrayal is so good! a++. 10 / 10. honestly before i decided to make my own arya, i creeped around at the others, because i am weak and wanted to see what quality is currently around. yours was one of the first's i checked out and it was all amazing. spot on. i love.

Survival

Sansa eyed her younger sister leaning over the railing that overlooked the sparring area in Winterfell. That was the place her father, Ned, used to watch everything they did. Seeing Arya stand there, years older than the last time she had, stirred a lonely sort of sadness, nostalgia crossing into the territory of melancholy.

Arya was barely recognizable now - taller, eyes more wary, blunt chopped hair, clothed for fighting and survival. The only thing that seemed familiar was the bit of dirt on her clothes - similar to how she looked when she brawled with the boys as a child. Sansa used to be annoyed by Arya’s refusal to be a lady. But now, Sansa was sure that Arya’s personality had become her strength in the last few years.

Snow crunching under Sansa’s boots, she walked out to approach her younger sister. She stood beside her and rested her elbows on the railing. “Arya,” she started as she turned her head to the left to look over at sister. “Where did you learn to fight like that?” With a gloved finger she pointed at Arya’s sword strapped to her side. “I don’t remember you ever fighting like that when we were children.” Her tone was curious, but also hinted at worry. She wasn’t sure who Arya was anymore.

“You can’t actually THINK that I wrote it,” Sansa hated the crack in her tone, the vulnerability she’d managed to sink into, something she THOUGHT she’d managed to leave at King’s Landing along with her innocence. She heaved a heavy sigh, shaking her head as she took in a sharp breath, EXASPERATED by the whole situation. They hadn’t seen each other in years, and they were bickering like they were when they were younger. “I would NEVER betray our family.”
