I'm obsessed with the NBC TV show Hannibal and I love Will Graham and his little farmhouse in Wolftrap, Virginia.
So I tried to recreate his farmhouse in House Flipper 2 as accurately as possible, using what felt like thousands of reference images of the house and taking countless screenshots of the house and its interior.
I started with the front and worked my way to the back. The entire second floor is improvised; I based the layout on drawings from fans who visited the property and furnished it in a way that I thought made sense. The guy has way too many rooms, too! XD
I'm praying the game get the Pets DLC soon so I can add even more dog accessories or even dogs themselves.
What would Will's house be without his dogs? ;) 🐕
I loved this project and hope, you all like it :3
So welcome to Wolftrap, Virgina:
This is where it all began: with the front of the farmhouse, I used the biggest windows I could find, but his were a lot bigger I'm afraid.
But I'm happy with the result~
This is the veranda; I tried to arrange the lamp and the furniture as accurately as possible.
With a little trickery, I managed to fit two doors into one slot. Now it has the desired 'double door' effect.
The living room, where Will also sleeps. I love the fireplace and the shelves around it, and I also love the color of the wall and the beams.
Close-up of the fireplace, with pictures of the pack and Winston <3
The fishing rods and the table for tying flies.
Next comes the dining room; why does Will have so many chairs and tables?
The kitchen was a challenge; unfortunately, I couldn't find a wallpaper that matched his, so I concentrated more on the furniture and the shelfs on the wall.
Here I used the same technique as on the front door.
The staircase and the hallway leading to the rooms on the second floor. From here on, I let my imagination run wild, but tried to stick to the layout of the rooms. Next to the stairs on the left, is the bathroom:
I tried to recreate the bathroom design based on a drawing a fan of the show had made of the house. I love the fish-patterned curtain and thought it would work <3
Not visible here: I've put a washing machine and a laundry basket in the corner.
At the end of the corridor is a room that's mostly used for storage, or where old, broken furniture are kept. There are far too many rooms!
I also noticed that Will doesn't seem to own a television or anything similar, so I put a 'broken' one in the storage room.
The bathroom was on the right, and the other rooms were straight ahead. According to the house plan, there should have been four rooms; however, the scale of my house wasn't 100% accurate, so I combined the two middle rooms into one large one.
I would have thought this was the 'master bedroom' until Will decided he'd rather sleep downstairs.
The wolf and deer head above the bed used as decoration was completely unintentional ;)
Also visible here are the windows that protrude into the sloping roof.
To the left of the main bedroom, I've created a guest room; here's a little reference to Hannigram :3
And on the right, next to the master bedroom, is a small study, which is also rather neglected.
An exterior view of the house, with the beautiful chimney on the outside wall. I also tried to recreate the electrical supply.
Next to the house is the small wooden barn where Will keeps even more tools and a freezer with fish.
I've also added fishing gear and a small boat ;3
I've put a lot of work and time into this project, and I keep finding things I've overlooked and adding as many details as possible. All in all, I'm very happy and proud of the house, and it was a lot of fun researching and analyzing the episodes XD
Love to all Hannibal Fans <3
Ps.: for everyone who owns House Flipper 2, here's the file for the house, so you can take a look :3
