her melody is carried by the howl of wind, sleet like daggers against bared skin of face. the entity is 𝚍𝚊𝚛𝚔 & 𝚞𝚗𝚌𝚊𝚛𝚒𝚗𝚐. she does not care what harm befalls those who serve her, no more than a pawn within the rot of the realm. the sharp crack of a twig snaps her attention back, away from biting cold. her axe is heavy in gloved palm, digits tighten grip as hunter’s gaze sharpens, jaw shifts 𝚊 𝚜𝚗𝚊𝚛𝚕 𝚌𝚊𝚛𝚟𝚎𝚍 𝚞𝚙𝚘𝚗 𝚑𝚎𝚛 𝚏𝚎𝚊𝚝𝚞𝚛𝚎𝚜. this hatred calms when she sees a flash of auburn, the orange a harsh contrast against blinding white. 𝚏𝚛𝚊𝚐𝚒𝚕𝚎 𝚒𝚜 𝚝𝚑𝚎 𝚜𝚘𝚗𝚐𝚋𝚒𝚛𝚍. anya has seen her before, she has seen many of them. has scarified them so easily, but there is hesitation now . . . song comes to a halt, it is abrupt, the silence deafening.
