15: Did any major life changes happen in the past year:     Yes actually, I discovered my spiritual path this past year (it is astonishing to think I have only been working with this pantheon for less than a year!) and decided that I want to go to grad school after college. Those are major life changes right???

16: Who’s the coolest person you met in 2014:     Literally all of my internet friends, because I met all of you this year. There are too many of you wonderful people to list all of you but my three greatest influences this year have been Vo, owlalone, and Michael. Vo is my oceany friend who even though we are almost a country apart, we are super close. Owlalone is teaching me latin. Michael convinced me to join Nova Roma. So ye they are pretty awesome people. 

20: what’s the greatest achievement you made this year:     I have literally no idea. I don’t think I have really achieved anything…

My friend is obsessed with the idea of the courier supporting NCR and becoming the governor of Vegas, but then ten years after Hoover Dam declares independence after they break treaties with the BoS and Khans. He wrote this little introspective the courier had before he activated the securitron army and prepared for war

Well, I could imagine something like that given the fact that the NCR will probably grow weak in the Mojave and the Courier would get help from the Brotherhood and the Khans (since he would need help to keep the territory). Then it could be done.

Although I don't know what to think about a New Vegas ruled by the Courier, the Brotherhood and the Khans o_O It's kind of scary.

Who do you think should have control of Vegas? And what role do you think the Courier should have in the Mojave after the new tenants take possession?

That's a question I've been asking myself for a while now, because I can't figure out what ending the makers themselves had in mind. But I'm always rooting for an independent Vegas. Which has a few reasons:

1. The only plausible alternative would be the NCR. Now, literally almost everyone in the game makes it their duty to tell you how awful the republic is; it's a huge point in the storytelling: the NCR isn't what it used to be while Tandi was president. It's clear that it's corrupt, doesn't care about the people of the Mojave which doesn't come as a surprise since they don't even care about their own troopers. So while the NCR is the main alternative it's sure as hell isn't the best one.

2. The big reason why I think it would be reasonable for the Courier to create an independent Vegas is the fact, that he already has done a similar thing in the past. He created the Divide, a really successfull community that Ulysses even reffered to as a nation. It's almost a historical fact that the Courier has the guts to do something like that. So why can't he do it again?

3. It is stated that the NCR wouldn't be able to hold a territorium so big and that the Republic is just getting greedy.

So, we have a Republic that forces people to join them and doesn't care about it's citizens and a Courier that can create a new nation. I would choose the second one every time.

And I believe the Courier would be just that even after the Battle of Hoover Dam - a courier. Just like in the Divide.
