Genuinely when they update @outofthebluecomic i drop everything to read it immediately, the feels are THERE and im cupping them gently in my palm

My book DARIUS THE GREAT IS NOT OKAY has been out in the world for a whole month now. It’s been an amazing whirlwind, and also a little bit scary to put something with so much of my heart in it out there for people to read.

One of the best things about the process was working with @wonderarium on the preorder art cards. Ari is a phenomenal illustrator (and everyone should read his comic @outofthebluecomic and support it on Patreon at https://www.patreon.com/wonderarium/overview) and a very kind and patient person, and I’m so honored he brought Darius and Sohrab to life.

Above you can see the actual art (instead of photos of the cards) for the first time. Ari captured in two illustrations what I spent an entire book trying to depict: the kind of true friendship that reshapes your life for the better. And his backgrounds of Yazd are gorgeous.

aw don karnage was in the newest ducktales but it wasnt the saaaaame

Ugh, nooo-- really?!  I actually saw a commercial for the appearance and wondered if he was just going to be a quick cameo or in an actual episode? Was worried they would mess it up if it wasn’t just a quick flash of something.

I just looked up a clip and... wow, that was awful? Why didn’t they get Jim Cummings to reprise the role?! He’s 99.9% of what actually makes Karnage, The Spectaculous Don Karnage. When we met him at DCC a few years back he did the voice for me in person--perfect on the fly Karnage ramblings--and it still kills me to think about it was so great.

And it’s not like they don’t have the guy pretty much living in a voice booth 24/7 already... What the hell, Disney?! Terrible.
