Forgiveness allows me to continue to love, and to love not only those that are still in my life, but those that are no longer in my life. It allows the endurance of love.

I don't think marriage is about making compromises with the other person, I think it's about making compromises with yourself. Marriage is about saying, I don't get to be that angry anymore, or I don't get to hold myself apart in a certain kind of pain. Now I have to share that pain."
