Yoriichi could travel far without rest, not minding walking--even as a child, he had once ran a day and a night without stopping, or rather--not finally ceasing because his body grew tired, but because of who he happened to find in the process.

But he must remind himself, that most others were unable to exercise quite as much endurance.

“You look as beautiful as you always look Yuu. Who are you trying to impress this time?”

It was a light jest towards the girl who looked like a model no matter what she wore. Some part of her felt jealous by how gorgeous she managed to look, but then again there were different levels of beauty and Yuu simply was on her own level. There was no sense in making the other girl feel self conscious by saying something cruel regarding her appearance and even if she did have something to say, Aimatia wasn’t the type to do such a thing.

She tapped her foot slightly as she lightly watered the flowers in the back. The pinkette had stopped by to ask her for her opinion on something which was the normal for their relationship truthfully, but never once would she think that she would ask her about how she looked. She didn’t seem the type to need reassurance for something like that, but then again how could she truly know what was going in someone’s heart.

“Do you have a date or something?”

Even though she herself was rather easily embarrassed when it came to matters of the heart, she couldn’t help herself in asking about romantic matters. She was a romantic at heart after all and hearing about such endeavors made her excited.

A New Chapter...

He had been lost with out his abilities. Although he didn’t show it. He was. Ichigo looked up as he saw ishin say he had a guest. He wasn’t in the mood for visitors.  But when he saw Yuu” Yuu”He smiled a bit as he winced turning over from where he was to look at her.  It had been about a month since he had seen anyone. He wondered what his dad must have told her about what happened. Why he was hurt.  Etc...

Since the battle in the Soul Society. But lately his dad had finally opened up about his past, and everything ...But it still felt like he was missing out on things.  Missing helping protect his friends. Missed being a Soul Reaper.  Urahara said that he was going to be ok but it would take time.  He wanted it to be now .. Not 5 months down the line till he was back at full strength like he was....”Yuu...I...” He said as they had been just starting to become close before the attack with Aizen...And then he just left out of the blue for 3 months for the mission. Only to come  back from the mission no powers, nothing...

                            “––––ah!  excuse my  intruding,”  he  can’t  help  himself,  not  one  bit.  even  when  bordering  on  retirement  –  he  always found  ways  to  poke  his  nose  into  other  slayers’  business.  when  he’d  heard  that  mitsuri  had  taken  upon  a  student, he  had  to  see  it  for  himself! swelling  with  pride, he  asks,

“––––how  is  your  training going?  please,  tell  me  everything!!”

peace which quickly gives way to pink cheeks and hazy fluster, as she too-quickly sits up from the grassy bed where she’d (quite unceremoniously) dozed off, scattering a handful of papers and a little journal which had laid on her chest, along the way. it was a beautiful, if slightly breezy, afternoon, with high sun and softly rolling clouds — why shouldn’t she take her work outside when it was this nice? well, apparently, she hadn’t reasoned that little question out as much as she ought to have.

“  o-oh, well, I—  ” she stammers a little, pulling a few fingertips through her hair both for the sake of soothing her nerves and fretting over looking presentable. oh gods, this was embarrassing.  “  th-thanks. for lookin’ out for me...  ” no doubt the other girl’d rescued some of her things from blowing away while she slept, if the little rocks resting on open folders or loose paper stacks were anything to go by.

“  uhm... you weren’t here very... long, were you?  ”

                            and  admitting to  such  a  thing  was  difficult  –––  more  difficult than  he  could  ever  hope  to  imagine. his  entire  life  for  the  past  century  onwards,  was  dedication to  strength  and  strength  alone. and  yet,  here  he  is  –––  saying the  truth  for  the  very  first  time.

“––––i’m  weak,” he  repeats  himself, “–––i’ve  always  been  weak.”

a pause.

“–––my  inability to  kill  certain people  proved  that,  again  and  again.  i  should  have  been  able  to  complete my  mission  –––  but  something stopped  me,  every  time,”  his  voice  sounded so  distant  –  as  if  he  were  holding  the  truth  as  far  away  from  him  as  he  could,  “–––it  was  her,  yuu.”

“–––it  was  the  person who  my  weakness... had  hurt  the  most.”

                            and  it  was  rare,  that  some  would  find  a  way  to  heal  him. through  kindness,  through compassion  –––  douma  was  often  the  one  who  selflessly gave,  and  gave,  and  gave  to  others. it  was  only  a  papercut, of  which  he  accumulated  often, due  to  his  privilege  in  being  able  to  be  careless  (healing was  a  marvellous thing).

but  she  still  gives  him  a  kiss,  and  it  left  him  puzzled.  the  wound  was  healing  regardless, so  why  did  she  bother? why  be  kind  to  him?  he  didn’t  understand.

“–––a–ah,”  he  struggles to  find  words. he  was  rarely  given  opportunities  to  thank  others for  their  generosity, to  the  point  that  despite all  his  facades, it  was  the  situation  least  practiced.  he  gives  a  strange  kind  of  smile, and  his  laughter feels  unnatural.

“–––a–ahaha...!  wow  –  you  really are  something,  aren’t you?”  should  he  thank  her  now?  “––but  there’s  no  need  to  give  me  comfort. the  gods  heal  my  wounds, always,”  a  lie.
