okay,, i’d say you remind me of the summer--more specifically summer nights. hot july, warm rain; the place i live doesn’t see a huge change in the weather much, it’s a stagnant hellhole where the only notches are either “global-warming, shin hoseok’s stare boring into your eyes” kind of hot and “mildly irritating, but thank god, it’s not as bad as before” kind of hot. 

but it’s something like magic during this time. it’s the escape from the sun beating down your neck, but it’s still warm enough for you to feel like you’re getting a hug from someone you love without being stifled by it.

sometimes it rains. 

it’s hot and muggy but it’s amazing; there’s truly no other feeling like it. it feels like the world stops, but it’s all moving so fast and it’s lovely and breath-taking and unexpected even though everyone... sort of expects it. so yeah, you’re summer nights and the rain washing away the smoke after fourth of july fireworks, the time where the sky’s orange and no one’s outside except for you. 

it’s a breath of fresh air, it’s the humidity; it’s like all the moments you’ve had were leading up to this one night filled with rain like fire. it’s not just the weather, it’s a force of nature.

i’ve never met you or talked to you, but i feel that sort of rushing feeling that i do during these kinds of nights. it’s the way you go on long tangents that are full of warmth, the way you heatedly honor the people you cherish; it’s warm, it’s a little unexpected, but all of it is sort of comforting and new.
