Code for Sacramento: Abhi Nemani, interim Chief Innovation Officer in the Mayor’s Office of Innovation and Entrepreneurship will speak about the state of civic tech and implications for Sacramento. 6-8PM. Capitol Science Communicators 3rd Anniversary Celebration:  The greater Sacramento region's only mixer for professionals and students in science communications. Individuals in journalism, PR, creative, policy, outreach, and research are encouraged to attend. 

7-9PM. Wonk Wednesday: Homelessness: The wonks convene for this discussion of homelessness in Sacramento with Shahera Hyatt, Director of the California Homeless Youth Project. 

9PM. Joe Kye Acoustic Jam/Send-Off Party: Benefiting the Mustard Seed School, join Joe Kye and friends to wish him well as he begins his new adventures in Portland, OR. 

California Groundbreakers: State of the Arts: Beatnik Studios hosts this debut event for a new series on innovators in the capital region. A panel of experts will discuss opportunities and challenges associated with catalyzing Sacramento’s arts scene. 630-830PM. Free. #plus1sac

Ride of Silence:  Join this worldwide, annual bicycle ride to honor cyclists who have been killed or injured while riding on public roads. Cyclists will meet at 15th Street and Capitol Avenue. The Ride of Silence poem will be read at 6:45 p.m. the ride will depart at 7:00 p.m. Helmets highly encouraged. Free.
