as someone who watches an embarrassing amount of Sungjin fancams in equally embarrassing repetitions, this is a serious issue that needs further investigation. in their earlier fancams, you get this feeling that leader checks on all his members during their lines. recently, he’s gotten much more chill and allows himself to get lost in his own thing. i need to see them live if only to see what happens in between songs. this is a very relevant question. HAHAHA

but seriously, i always, always, take note of their formation. if they’re not limited by the stage, do they have preferences? does jae like it better on leader’s left side? wonpil is usually on the left, too. or that time pre-debut when sungjin never took the center, and when it all changed when he got promoted to dad leader and now he’s technically their frontman and has to be in the middle. and sing the chorus (though he almost always did even before and he looked like he preferred the sidelines–compared to the early perfs with him suddenly center and a little awkward? conscious?). and…i’m rambling. it’s time to shut up now alex. 

but i also really like that, recently, their MV sequences feature them moving around their usual spots. it subtly changes their aesthetic and it’s all so good?
