It was a mistake, letting himself relax for those few minutes. After a schedule of filming some action packed scene for the new Drama that would be airing in the upcoming month, Hyun Joong had waved off most of his men, telling them to not uselessly drain themselves. So only one car trailed behind him and his manager.
Minutes later he found himself on the side walk, his whole body aching as he tried to roll onto his knees and check on the manager. The car behind him on fire but gladly his two men had escaped with minor burns. He himself could feel his knees having gone raw.
When the Syndicate’s SIC appears out of nowhere for a second he is sure he now knew who made a hit on him and Hyun joong begins struggling to get up and pounce to defend himself but instead of going in for the kill , Jin approached only to help and to say Hyun was out of words to say would be accurate. He cast a weary look at him men, both hastily moving to his location and then his eyes are back on Jin when he is asked such a thing. “Yeh” he grunts, feeling a headache coming on, just what the fuck was happening here? “I’ll be fine” he said, struggling mostly because there was no way in the world that he was going to let any weakness show infront of this man in particular. He would rather die than admit how bad it hurt-
he hadn’t meant to witness it. all he wanted to do was get home early, and check up on his girlfriend to make sure she wasn’t staying up late to wait for him again. for all intents and purposes he was practically ‘whipped’, but who wouldn’t be, if she was every bit worth fussing over? (call it an obsession: he called it love.) watching a car burst into flames and another crash into a pole was not on his list of things to do while waiting at an intersection.
so he pulled over, naturally, and rushed to help, like a few people seemed to want to do -- except they all just either stood around like idiots gawking at something surreal, or panicking and running around. but they weren’t his primary concern yet.
“good. the car that tried to kill you drove off, but i don’t know if they’ll be back,” jin informed the man, though kept his back turned to the gathering crowd. probably wasn’t safe for any of them to be around here. “c’mon. let’s lose ourselves in the crowd. better that way. i don’t want anyone thinking that i actually know you.”
